That's actually even more insulting than if Yamcha were just weaker than 18 and got stomped. So now not only can he not stand up to 18 without being an android himself but now he's so weak that he manages gets kidnapped and roboticised by an old man?

I guess it wouldn't be Dragon Ball without some kind of Yamcha Fail, even if it's just implied.

As seen in the series, a powerful fighter can pass out with gas (everyone against Pilaf and Tenshinhan at the hands of Roshi before facing Piccolo daimao) or other weapons.

Gero wouldn`t necessarily have to overtake them with strength.

Thus it's 'roots' were always Brolly vs. Vegetto.

But that was plausible as it was an alternate Broly, not the Broly we know. For all we knew, it was a good guy Broly who took Goku's place. Thus it is not fanwanking. Fanwanking was showing him for half the comic.

Holy shit i didnt expect this! That explains everything (why Yamcha is so strong, why he is so young). I guess Tien is number 16 then. Awesome twist . I think 17 was built in the original Yamcha's image for an infiltration mission but got found out and recruited to the side of good, possibly after the fight with Cell. But it also means he might not be able to get stronger. Can androids still learn techniques?

. . . . Huh. I am shocked but pleasantly so. It's not impossible that Dr. Gero had to use someone else as a test subject and ran into a young bandit named Yamcha. I wonder how he learned of his past though? And what about Puar? Where they still buddies? Maybe Puar was #19? Still hope Tenshinhan is not a cyborg though as his background story is a interesting part of the early Dragonball series. Unlike Yamcha who we know next to nothing about before he ran into Goku and co. Just "IMO" and it would not "ruin everything" if it where the case but I feel this twist is too interesting for Yamcha to water down with another character or two. *shrug*

Well it's a possiblity I considered . . . youth can be restored with the Dragonballs. Not to mention even at the end of the series (including GT or no) Yamcha still seems to look somewhat young except for some token creases on the face. Ah heck you're probably right anyway.

No. I also think he is #18 because #16 was a robot and not a cyborg. But we can not be sure that he is a cyborg at all. Krillin doesn`t seem to be and Tenshinhan`s age is always very hard to tell, especially since we still haven`t seen him very much in this fan manga.

Tenshinhan's probably #18, seeing as #16 was fully mechanical. It stands to reason that the two cyborgs replace the two cyborgs.

Because from their perspective the blast isn't moving anymore. It's probably not as strong when it's not moving because it's lost all momentum to them.

Gohan's blast, from the other hand, is moving as fast as it normally would from the perspective of someone moving infinitely fast...
