The sad part is a lot of people (myself included) noticed this stuff and were attacked with responses why it has to be Jiren. One thing that a lot of people in this fan base don't know how to do is LOOK AHEAD. It was very clear that this was a foreshadowing of a future antagonist, but everyone's logic was "why would they do that when we know Jiren is going to be the antagonist this arc? It's clearly Jiren.." umm, maybe because Goku needs a rival this arc? if Jiren was the mortal they were referring to, Whis would've told them there's absolutely no chance of winning this tournament. They couldn't beat Beerus, so why would they be able to beat someone who is stronger than him? With the power of friendship and teamwork?

But yeah, I am of the same opinion, it's Jiren alright.. With all the merchandising and all the work they out in to making the character known, it would be a waste to not have him be the man..

Plot-Twist what if its Brianne? With her gimmick she would bullshit her way to the strongest. For a reason she didnt get eliminated in Episode 103, Toei probably have some plans for her.

Since she can brawl with '#17 while pissed, she has to be one of the strongrt fighters in the torunamant. Probably equal to Gohan, #17 and Kale. Which I'm cool with as thats 4 universe with strong fighters instead of 3.

Hopefull that means she'll get more game apperances, which would be great since her entire skill tree is very different from tmost other characters.

I'm actually surprised you guys are so confident in your assumptions haha. I would love to hold you guys to it. I'll be sure to screenshot this and call you out as soon as this fighter is revealed. You guy so are part of the group who just can't "look ahead" I mentioned before. Other big animes like One Piece make it clear there is more to happen in the future. Why can't you guys get the hint that only The weak universes are being explored right now and the really powerful ones are coming out later on in the series? The likliehood of the fighter being in one of the exempt universes is much greater than it being in one of these weaker ones. Unless you guys are delusional like some people out there who think Goku is strong enough to take on someone stronger than Beerus now.

If this was another show, I'd probably agree with you. But it's Super. Remember when people were saying Zamasu can't be Black, as that would be too obvious?

Haha we will see if they mention the Namekian Book of Legends when they encounter the U6 Nameks. If they don't mention anything about it, I'll believe it was a throw away line.

As far as the Jiren thing, I'll definitely hold you to that one haha. We probably won't find out about the other universes for another year or so, which will give you plenty of time to say goodbye to your account

One Piece is a well-written story with a clear goal and vision set-up from the start.

Dragon Ball Super is a poor revival of a series that has long been dead in which the creator never had a vision for the future and made stuff up as he went along. The same is true now as he keeps writing one arc at a time and plot points and themes seemingly get dropped from one arc to another.

I like the idea in principle of Piccolo becoming a major contender once again, but I would like for it to be accomplished in a more sensible way like him requesting training from Whis and getting his potential unlocked. If he can even just reclaim a position similar to what he had at the beginning of the Cell arc when he was in a respectable fourth place relative to the Super Saiyans then I would be satisfied.

One Piece is a well-written story with a clear goal and vision set-up from the start.

Dragon Ball Super is a poor revival of a series that has long been dead in which the creator never had a vision for the future and made stuff up as he went along. The same is true now as he keeps writing one arc at a time and plot points and themes seemingly get dropped from one arc to another.

Part of me is willing to give them the benefit of the doubt that they'll figure things out and get better. I personally don't want them to fail to fail since that would mean they completely ruined the series.

Piccolo is a huge character and how is he is Gohan's hype man or accessory? He is a character that does not need to be hyped. Why is Gohan being hyped anyway as he has already had to use his Ultimate form and has shown nothing special that anything any of the others can't do.

Wouldn't finding out about Namekian lore and getti g powerful that way be more interesting than being trained by Whis?
