I've just started playing the 3DS game, and was wondering if the physical cards have something like a QR that can be used on 3DS, or are they only for use with the arcade game?

All the cards are unlocked in-game. The physical cards are for the arcade game.

Do you guys think Heroes will ever make original story lines? I think it would be cool if they make original story arcs for Heroes once they run out of ideas. Just of the creative ideas for new villains and story lines. I think it would be cool if they created a second wave of Shadow Dragons based on the other wishes made in the Dragon Balls and the main heroes must defeat them all in order to clear all of the negative energy. It can go something like this:

Dragon #1 - Born from the wish from the very first wish to become a king.
Dragon #2 - Born from the wish by reviving everyone killed by Piccolo Daimo and his demon spawn.
Dragon #3 - Born from the wish to bring back Freeza to life from Sorbet and Tagoma
Dragon #4 - Born from the wish for Garlic Jr.'s wish for immortality.
Dragon #5 - Born from the wish to revive all people killed by Cell.
Dragon #6 - Born from the wish when Hoi wishes to unlock a box that kept Tapion inside.
Dragon #7 - Born from the wish when Shu wishes for one million Zeni.

I know it sounds similar to the Other AF's manga story line but I always dig the Shadow Dragon concept in general (It was poorly done in GT).

Giants that aren't transformations for normal sized characters aren't playable yet (Like Lord Luud)

Yeah, there are still a handful of characters (giants and not) that aren't playable, despite being in the game (excluding God Mission 1 characters that could be in the next set). Mostly giants that don't have a normal sized forms and a lot of "Majins" from the Hakaio set (like Zangya, Raichi, etc). Amepai and Zaripai still aren't playable either, despite Akina being given avatar status usable by players who obtained her in that brief period.

It's an expansion set, looking to be a mix of 5 new cards and 5 old cards, that will be sold via those dispensers (like the US equivalent vending machines you find in stores that sell stickers).

That name's not a thing. The only official term for it is still (and will most likely continue to be) Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan. (Or Super Saiyan God SS, or SSGSS, whichever you prefer)

In that video you linked to, Goku says is that this is "a form beyond Super Saiyan God". The same way as in when he explained 1 through 3 to Boo. (Making me wish they had kept it simple with just Super Saiyan God 2)

Between a mere scan and a video-game... I pick the video-game (a video-game is also official). Mostly because "Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan" is terrible as fuck and long as hell. On the other hand we have "Saiyan beyond God", shorter and sounds better.
