Sort of but the primary target console audience is still the current-gen, i.e, PS3 and Xbox 360.

In 2014 it will be when Wii U, PS4 and Xbox One will start to shine.

I can't wait to play Super Smash Bros. 4 and Uncharted 4 in 2014! ^_^
Insertclevername wrote:And the Wii U.
If it's going to be like the Wii in terms of Dragon Ball games, then Namco Bandai might release an original Dragon Ball game for the Wii U because there's not a lot of them and it's a joy to always go back to its roots (now in HD).

Yeah thats basically what I was getting at.

Shit, the PS360&Wii were still considered "Next Gen" until about late 08 early 09. So if the pattern remains the same the PS4, XBone and Wii U wont be considered current generation consoles until about 2015 at the earliest.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

He's right since PS2 still had major titles coming out for it until around 2008. This new Gen just started, it won't be until 2016 when the PS4 and Xbox One are the main consoles. Anyways, if the demo comes out then I will give it a try. I normally don't judge games on demos, but the chances of me liking it are slim to none.

I can't speak for BT2 since I haven't played it, but B3's & UB's free-roam wasn't very different from what I recall... and I hated it in both games. It was so pointless.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

UT's free roam was pointless except for in Hero mode (and even then it could have been better) and Budokai 3's wasn't very good because it did a piss poor job of actually telling the story.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

Man, we don't freaking need the story again, especially with the free roam, though it was fun in B3 and BT2 looking for rare skills. But now in this day and age, they gotta do something better. Either focus most of the time on story mode and free roam like CyberConnect2(or as I call them now, CyberCrapnect), or just put story battles in and just focus on the whole package.

Most extra features to fighting games tend to be gimicky crap. If they can nail the core fighting system, then it will sell itself.

BT2/S2 story mode was limited compare to Budokai 3 from what I can remember. You don't find items or find events that will lead up to a new story event like Budokai 3 did. I recall that if you enter a city in BT2/S2 that you find a random character will say nothing important. The story mode in BT2/S2 had a lot of hype and I remember most people were let down by the story mode despite it being pretty long.

You don't find new stories but you find items. Bt2 story mode destroys B3 IMO

I've never experienced a demo of any game that was all that different from the final version and besides this is a Dragon Ball game we're talking about man XD a fighting game at that. Just like the demos for the previous DBZ fighters this gen, this one is going to be nothing more or less than an appetizer of the main game which isn't saying much given what we now so far.

So, about that 'Goku Edition'. I'm kinda interested in picking that up, and I was wondering if any listings have started appearing for it, so I can get an idea of how much it'll set me back. I checked on Amazon UK, since they were carrying Ultimate Tenkaichi with the Gohan figure, but they only had a listing for the regular game (BOZ).

Hmm, I didnt hear anything familiar.. Maybe it was hard to grasp over the voices of the "DBZ Fans" or just that I haven't played RB1 since the second one came out so maybe my memory's fussy.

At 1:00 (the battle against Vegeta) you can hear "Fist of Justice" BGM from Ultimate Tenkaichi if you listen closely.
UT's soundtrack was awesome and all, but please don't overuse it over and over forever, I want more OSTs.

To be honest, after watching that, I'm a little more excited for this game. For me the biggest problem was the no Local and being forced to a team of 4...but it still looks like it'll be pretty fun to play. Especially once I get online and start joining other people.

GAME being overpriced as usual not sure why people buy from them then again there's a ton of consumers always at Selfridges/Harrods/John Lewis so I guess as long as it looks "premium" and good it'll be worth their money.

I was hoping that the demo would give us the game's original music but this is awful if Namco Bandai's using recycled music.

These four trailers provide new music which I'd say is going to be in the final version:

Perhaps the game will have scores from the past and new scores as well.
