Db-z.com tweeted that the guy that leaked the FighterZ thing today said there's something about Goku's new form in Vjump. Course take with a grain of salt until images pop up.

Mafuba is the only move Roshi hasnt used in the ToP so far, he uses Mafuba to eliminate Mage Girl Cawy, then someone will eliminate him due to Roshi running out stamina(in order to protect his character).

I invite you to go back and watch dragon ball. Roshi made it clear that his time was up and that these new fighters were going to surpass him. And they did. There's no way Roshi would've stood a chance against Raditz. Let alone Nappa. Now hes supposedly going to put in work on some of the strongest fighters in the universe.

Tien has grown very strong since his dragon ball days. Enough to surpass the ginyu force. You remember how strong they were, right? Fast forward X amount of years to the present. Tien is constantly training. The only human to do so. And now Roshi is all of a sudden able to put Tien on the defensive when he couldn't even beat Nappa or the Ginyu Force?

Don't come at me like what I'm saying is illogical. I was hesitant to even respond to your post. Roshi DID peak. If you really didn't see that in Dragon Ball and Z, then I'm wasting my time even talking to you about it.

I watched OG DB and yes Roshi was and still is all about letting the newer generation take over.But you are pretending like there was some kind of barrier that prevented him from becoming stronger.When such thing never existed in and out of universe outside of Toriyama not wanting to use him at the time the manga was running from a specific point and onward.
In fact in the saiyan and cell saga,Roshi stated in numerous occasions that he wanted to be more of help but could not due to his current power.Him becoming stronger because he wants to help when he can and him letting the new generation take over do not contradict each other.
If you do not even understand that the reason Roshi was not used in dbz was because of the writer's intent at that period instead of a magical barrier you call peak then i don't think we have been watching the same show.The same thing goes for a lot of other characters that fell behind like 17,Freeza,Gohan and a lot of more.

I'm not pretending there was a barrier, there WAS a barrier. The first barrier was an unspoken barrier of how strong humans get compared to aliens/androids. It wasn't imaginary, it was literally how they did things. Don't know why, but that's what was established. The second is the barrier for Roshi in General. How do you not see that Roshi was retired? It took his entire life to get to that point of strength in Dragon Ball. Now he's making 10,000 times the amount of gains he ever did. Just from "training on the side". His pupils were growing at astonishing rates. By the end of dragon ball, all his students essentially surpassed him. Keep in mind Roshi was still active in Dragon Ball, so it's not like he was just a spectator throughout. He could NOT keep up with his students. His time was up.

So you're saying just because Roshi said that he wanted to help out on multiple occasions, that means he was capable of getting stronger..? You're reaching for straws if that's your defense. If there were any real gains he could've made, he would've done them. But he knew he was useless. They established that he was a side character and nothing he can contribute to the fights anymore. Now all of a sudden he's made gains that took the rest of all of Z fighters (who are In their prime) just to keep him irrelevant. I can't count how many times I've watched the entire series through. There are some things that you just know and certain things are established.

If I hadn't seen some of your previous posts, id think you were some unreseasonable fan who would defend Toei no matter what. But I've seen you post things that make more sense than a lot of the things I see on here. I just can't agree about Roshi.

Of course that much was certain,that the humans will always fall behind in gains/power compared to the aliens.
Roshi did retire which was in line with him wanting the next generation to take over and his current gains are insane but thats not what i am talking about.

Let me make it clear that i think Toei is one of the worst companies you would want to animate a show,not that they cannot do good but they are gonna drag a show as much as they can and ruin said show but adding their own fillers,including the atrocious pacing in order to strech episodes.

Lets speak about the 'barrier' first.Dragonball as a show has been about surpassing your limits,as the show goes on we see characters went further and beyond from what was previously established as peak.That holds true for every character whatever it would be an side character,a villain or a main character.
Halfway through DBZ Goku grows in age beyond what is considered his 'prime' but he still grows in power,the same goes for Piccolo,Vegeta or even the non alien Tien who grew in power even in the buu saga(he is in his 50s by then i think?).
Now despite those character's power being a joke to the main villains in the buu saga(minus Goku),it is a fact they still grew stronger despite being beyond their prime.
At worst you could take Toriyama's word in which he said there is a physical limit but not a ki limit in regards to how strong one can get.

Now about 'training gains',if you watch closely whatever it is db/dbz/dbs you are gonna notice that if there is anything consistent with training gains is the fact that they don't make any sense.There have been a lot of times where people with lesser potential outdid those who had more.
Here is an example(i can offer more but i think my post is long enough as it is):
All the humans,Tien,Krillin,Yamcha and even Chiaotzu/Yajirobe had better gains in 1 year than Goku did in 3 training with Kami.Keep in mind the strongest of them was Tien with a powerlevel of 250 while 13 year old Goku who trained for 3 years had just bested King Piccolo who had a powerlevel of 280.
Now that does not make much sense does it?Goku was stronger than them even at their beggining of their training,trained 3 times the amount of the time they did and he was the biggest prodigy out of all of them,yet his gains were a joke compared to theirs.

I don't find Roshi's gains to make much sense just like with you,the difference is that i had accepted that gains and the potential/prodigy excuse(outside of it being a plot device) never made any sense long ago even in db/dbz,now don't take this as me trying to justify and defend super,quite the opposite they took a problem dragonball had and they turned it up to 11 but thats a problem that was already there.
In a fewer words,Roshi did not have any barrier/peak because such a thing never existed in db(the only few times a wall close to that was mentioned was to break it) outside of Toriyama's lack of will to use him at that point,granted the same thing holds true for all the other fighters.

Gotta admit, this one single design choice actually makes the whole thing work for me. The black hair and silver colored eyes alone probably wouldn't have impressed at all, but reptilian/cat like eyes are...interesting. Makes it look just a tad bit more menacing.
