I don't really like how "thick" Goku is in this poster. He looks way too bulked up in my opinion. His traps and neck are way too huge, if they just fixed those it would look much better.

Unfortunately most of the fans love to see the characters big and muscular.

Totally agree. I was honestly hoping for the body type of SSG with Black SSJ or SSG hair.

The eyes...I wanted the red SSG eyes but I'm not sure it matters too much.

Though generally posters tend to exaggerate a bit on muscles, not sure if thats common in DB but I see it in other mediums.

I'm actually very happy with the subtle blue aura, silver eyes and black hair a little spiked upwards. It looks so godly yet simple, and the silver eyes blend extremely well with the blue aura. I just hope Goku won't be this bulky. I hope it's a Yamamuro/poster only thing, sort of like he drew a muscular Black on a DVD cover.

But, to plays the devil advocate, the Tsufurian were not in the original story (the manga). It was a Toei concept introduced in a filler episode and was only further expanded in GT and the Plan To Eradicate The Saiyans OVA.

Tsufurujins were actually Toriyama's concept introduced in a filler episode. They were mentioned in one of those 2014 interviews, becoming canon to the manga.

They might have been an idea but it doesn't make them canon at all. AT had a hand in filler for the anime, but it never really mattered. Unless he confirms there existence in the manga and official story itself in that interview, i see no other way but treating them as non canon filler. Is there a quote from him on what he says?

I don't know why Toyo made Gohan have Piccolo's attire. it's just visually inferior to him having the orange gi.

I honestly prefer it that way, I'm tired of the orange gi (yeah, even for Goku. The RoF outfit was better). Anyway it's just a cover, it may be different in the chapter themselves (I hope not)

I would've preferred if Goku kept his new outfit too and find it dumb Toyo just shelved it. Same with Vegeta. I love Goku's normal gi, but the new one just felt like a natural progression to his EOS look. Gohan with Goku's gi just looks the best out of all his looks.

Goku and Vegeta changed outfits in the anime as well, so it seems to be either a Toriyama/Shueisha/whoever decision, not Toyotaro or Toei. But yeah, apart from being a natural progression, it feels fresh, and I personally love Vegeta wearing black (I would like it even more if he wore something similar to the Boo arc, without armor, but that seems to be asking too much nowadays). However at the end of the day Super prefers to use nostalgia instead of trying to create new original memorable moments, so...

I always thought that character designs of the Tsufurujin were from Toiryama but that the core story concept was originally from Toei. This is very Interesting.

Maybe Toriyama just forgot again where the Tsufurujin came from. Or this is just a goof on the part of Toei.

I mean more in the sense of "Why would we give Goku and Vegeta new attacks, when we can make them spam the Kame Hame Ha and the Garlick Gun/Final Flash", "why would we keep the new designs for them if the old outfits are more popular", "why would we try to take a different aproach on a legendary SS if we can just have female Broly and recreate every fight scene with her", "why should we stop using Frieza and his clones" etc. I suppose than more than nostalgia, the word I should have used is fanservice. Which is not always a bad thing, but only if executed well.

Yeah, whatever the case is, to me it reeked of more pandering to the iconic designs. Even if the excuse was they couldn't come up with a new design for Vegetto, that's lame, because it's just pandering to Vegetto's original design.
It shouldn't be that hard to come up with a new design for him and it's a shame, that for whatever reason, modern DB is stuck with the old designs, instead of updating the designs, as RoF wisely did. The designs weren't even that different, but it was a refreshing take and now it's all been thrown to the dumpster, which is a big shame.

Exactly! Isn't supposed the races for one particular universe to only inhabit in his twin counterpart? Yardratians and Tsufurian should be at U6 not U2

My theory is that they are from U2 and they came to U7 through Universal travel. It is possible that U2 is more advance than U6 and U7.

Not really. The hair is obviously just gently being lift because of the aura. Doubt this is the final design. Just don't see it. Seems like a clear teaser for the new form. having a slight blue aura, catlike silver eyes and a normal goku muscular build hardly constitutes as a very creative form. i look forward to seeing the final look as i doubt this is it.

Step aside Super Saiyan God, theirs anew flavor in town and I like it. Shame I still have to cheer on Jiren to wreck it though lol.

Lets see....

The base is like normal Goku, der, but has elements of both god forms, God and Blue mixed in with the eyes reminding me of SS4. Thats actaully a pretty good mix put into such a subtle transformastion. As for the aura, I wonder if it will start red and turn blue or will the colours shift, both would be cool.

Actually the eyes, while silver, remind me of nine-tails Naruto. Thats no big deal though, Naruto's borrowed so much from DB its only fare we get something back. Silver, slited eyes will do nicely.

I'll stick with "Limit Breaker" until it gets an offical name.
