Yay, Bardock. I'm going to be an ass and post a full-size pic because... well... it's Bardock:

Can someone point me to where on the Meristation site all this is, though? There seems to be server errors all over the place on the site, and I'm having trouble navigating it. I'd like to update big-time.

EDIT: Nevermind. Found 'em. Same link as before.

You can get a server error, try again, and everything might be fine. They're just having problems. I don't speak spanish, but getting to ps2.meristation.com and clicking something about images on the sidebar was easy enough.

http://www.meristation.com/sc/juegos/to ... PS2&j=5258 should be the general page for Budokai 3, with links to screenshots, of course.

Edit: Missed the edit. Guess I'll keep it up anyway.

Is it me or do I spy Planet Vegeta?

That's not the Kai Planet... that's not Namek... and that's not Earth...

Hmm...

Looks like Planet Namek to me.

Anywho, I really do hope this game lives up to its expectations.

The reason why it may look unfamiliar has more to do with the new direction they're taking in these games.

They are giving the players "photo-realistic" backgrounds this time around.

One thing that bothered me in the Budokai games... Cell's voice was like...wrong! He had his first form voice in all his forms, and even in Budokai 2, it was still there!

I also think it would be cool if the characters voices switched when Ginyu does his Body Swap technique ^^

I believe I've heard that they're fixing the voice issue in this game... which is good, because Cell's perfect voice was actually rather neat. It sounded British, to be sure, but it still fit everyone's favorite cricket.

That really annoyed the hell out of me. I could accept it was a mistake in Budokai 1, just overlooked. But they had no excuse to make the same mistake in Budokai 2, since Cell was always perfect. They were just too lazy to record some new sounds.

Wow...some of these pics of Bardock...he seems to be doing a lot of damage! Could he actually be High Tier? Does this mean Budokai 3 will even actually have Tiers!?

*ehem* Bardock! Bardock! Bardock! Bardock! Bardock! Bardock! Bardock! Bardock! Bardock! Bardock! Bardock! Bardock! Bardock! Bardock! Bardock! Bardock! Bardock! Bardock! Bardock! Bardock! Bardock! Bardock! Bardock! Bardock! Bardock! Bardock! Bardock! [/fanboy-gasm]

Sorry, but Bardock is, IMO, the coolest of the Saiya-jins. ^^ He just kicks so much ass. It would be cool if he could transform too, but they're probably keeping the characters to the abilites they had in the series.

Actually, I believe he was an Oozaru in the special's opening scene. >_>

Acutally, by transform, I meant SSJ. Though, like I said, I doubt they'll go beyond what the series shows. I liked that they gave Mirai Trunks SSJ2 for B2 (even if they were lazy and didn't do anything with his hair). I just wish they'd make it possible for all the Saiya-jins to at least reach SSJ, if not all four stages.

I'd like to see that, could you imagine Radittz as a super saiyan or even a super saiyan 3? :P

Mini update:

Few new screen shots show Freeza transforming, first
Image

And then Freeza becomes...100% Powered Freeza!
Image

It may only be a small detail, but I'm really happy about that. Even in Budokai 1 where he could do this transformation, the difference was so slight you could barely tell the difference. Now he looks like he's supposed to.

Why is Freeza in the ROSAT? And the first pic looks like a comet or something striking a planet.
Jerseymilk: "Can I tell you something?"
B-kun: "What?"
Jerseymilk: "I see Fangirls."

Is it the power of Freeza going 100% O_o Don't wanna see that every time you go 100%....

Maybe Bardock has an Oozaru transformation à la Vejita in Taiketsu. A giant foot. XD

Here's another shot of it:

Without them telling us it's hard to tell. That could be a power up, or it could be a Spirit Bomb, or any number of things...
