This is not in any way done with Z's original colors. I'm seriously wondering why people keep putting these godawful filters on scenes and claiming that they're using "Z's style".

Ugly is the best word to describe that clip.

Lol people really are idiots. They think dbs should look like z smh. The colors and film are OUTDATED. No show looks like that today. People need to get with the times man. Forreal.

69 was like DBS was trying to be Gintama, but without the smooth lighting and decent animation/directing to pull it off

Shame too, it was such a funny episode.
________

Also eww that link. I mean i dont think we should shit too hard on somebody's spare-time project, but JESUS why do people think blowing the footage out with more light than an atom bomb = Z style?

It's not even close, it's the already hideous orange bricks on STEROIDS.

Overblown colors aside, haven't them removed the highlights on most shots?

In the videos? I haven't seen that many try to go that far other than turning the brightness up so much that they aren't as noticeable. People do tend to remove those with screenshots, but those look awful too.

On this last one. I think I saw it on Facebook before and some shots had highlights in the actual series. Goku's martial arts pose is one I think, because there was a edit of that image here in the forums along the original and it had the highlights removed of I recall correctly.

I also noticed they barely used highlights on this last ep.
And I don't see any in the preview either.

Nevermind. The highlights are there but the colors are so saturated that they seem to disappear. It's ugly.

-Episode 69-
At least Toei is doing the right thing and outsourcing this episodes. Bu I'm disappointed how they used Wanpack for the boring Shelong episode and this one, a crossover between two iconics works from Toriyama, we have TAP. Seriously Toei...

Anyway, I was reading this interview about One Piece Film Gold and there's some questions that caught my attention, like this one:
How big is the workload behind a movie like this?
Miyamoto: In terms of animation, 300 cuts and around 4000 key animations are needed for a One Piece TV chapter, while we made 2000 cuts and 76000 key animations for One Piece Film Gol
How much do you guys think Super and the last 2 Movies compar with these numbers?
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

Favourite old DB Animators: Masaki Sato and Tadayoshi Yamamuro
Favourite new DB Animators: Yuya Takahashi and Chikashi Kubota

I think for a Super episode it is more or less the same. 300 cuts and 3000~4000 key animation drawings is the standard for a TV episode. It's also the norm in Toei, right?

As for the movies, I have no idea. I don't think any of the 2 Dragon Ball movies were allowed 76000 drawings, but I could be wrong.

Episode 69
Image
I'll probably do the video on this tomorrow or something. I wasn't really feeling it today. I've been quite apathetic towards the series since the ending of the Future Trunks arc, honestly.

But... it's only been like two episodes. And it's filler. :P

Oh, I don't mean like that. I've enjoyed the episodes, I'm just feeling quite burnt out and unenthusiastic towards the series as a whole.

I think we all sympathize, here. I've been burnt out on the show since the FT Arc started, but I keep making myself watch every week cause I'm a masochist. The only thing I still care about in new Dragon Ball is Toyotaro's manga, maybe it doesn't feel as worn because it's only monthly.

A new weekly series with no end in sight we're all bound to go through cycles like this. Happened to me mid U6 arc recovered somewhat towards the end and the Black arc made me get all excited again. Right now the downtime is pretty great not much to discuss or things to fight over which is why I am kind of upset next week is the last episode before a new arc starts, which is why I would like a cour (or close to) of SoL episodes instead before the next Toriyama arc instead of a couple followed by a Toei arc but it is what it is.

Trust me, there will always be things to fight user :P. People are flipping out about this episode.

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

Didn't like it much the filter used and the choice for Kikuchi OSTs, it could have been better

I've only felt burnt out during the F arc, that shit was a pain to wait through.
I'm sure you'll be more enthusiastic once we get the next Toriyama arc announcement.

This episode wasn't outsourced, TAP works on most episodes of Super.
