I mean more in the sense of "Why would we give Goku and Vegeta new attacks, when we can make them spam the Kame Hame Ha and the Garlick Gun/Final Flash", "why would we keep the new designs for them if the old outfits are more popular", "why would we try to take a different aproach on a legendary SS if we can just have female Broly and recreate every fight scene with her", "why should we stop using Frieza and his clones" etc. I suppose than more than nostalgia, the word I should have used is fanservice. Which is not always a bad thing, but only if executed well.

Yeah, whatever the case is, to me it reeked of more pandering to the iconic designs. Even if the excuse was they couldn't come up with a new design for Vegetto, that's lame, because it's just pandering to Vegetto's original design.
It shouldn't be that hard to come up with a new design for him and it's a shame, that for whatever reason, modern DB is stuck with the old designs, instead of updating the designs, as RoF wisely did. The designs weren't even that different, but it was a refreshing take and now it's all been thrown to the dumpster, which is a big shame.

Yeah, it really sucks the ROF designs, for Goku and Vegeta specifically, have been discarded so quickly. They were a really fresh and unique spin on Goku and Vegeta's classic fighting gi. Maybe Toriyama was feeling a little old-school. I mean, he did given Krillin a fantastic new design in Battle Of Gods, just to have him reverted back to his traditional fighting outfit and bald head in Resurrection F.

I wonder if the one hour special could be a origin on the Gods? It would be interesting to see how someone becomes a God of Destruction and their connection with the Kaioshin. I still believe that idea that Beerus is the not first God of Destruction in Universe 7.

Well it's the front of the back visual that Toei relesed when the ToP started. Not confirmed that this is what the actual transformation looks like just yet.

I personally don't think this is the actual form just yet, more of a tease doesn't make sense to unveil it completely now when they've been so hush on it forever and since Goku vs Jiren isn't happening for a while.

I wonder if the Universe 9 Assassins got their souls erased too? I know they died in Universe 7, but I do wonder if they got erased while being dead in Universe 7 also? Like they disappear in Universe 7's Hell after Zeno and Future Zeno erased Universe 9.

I don't really like how "thick" Goku is in this poster. He looks way too bulked up in my opinion. His traps and neck are way too huge, if they just fixed those it would look much better.

Unfortunately most of the fans love to see the characters big and muscular.

He looks how he should be, if anything.

Can't stand skinny, overly-lean Goku from Dragon Ball Super.

Likewise. Another reason I prefer Z animation. When you train and eat like they do, you're gonna get thick. It's cool to have a form like SSG that makes them lean, but overall prefer the thickness of their muscles.

My guess is Jiren being just to strong.

Goku pulls out all the stops, even pushing SSBKKx10 to a dangerus limit. Infact to the point that he powers down, cannot control his ki and is on the verge of perminantly hurting himself for good this time.

With the threat of being erased imminate, the full schope of whats at stake finally hits Goku. Everyone and everything will be annilated if he dose not win. I needs tos to be stronger, he needs to beat Jiren. In the moment of cleairty and despirastion, Goku see's the wall that is his limit....and passes through it.....

The characters are martial artists, they just shouldn't be this big. Blue Goku's Toriyama design is just perfect, muscle-wise. Or just look at my avatar which is 23rd BT Goku from the Kanzenban cover. I think that's how Goku should look.
I know Goku eats a ton of food but he probably naturally burns all those calories.
By the way it technically makes sense Goku's neck is so thick, as that's one of the parts fighters actively train.

That people flip out because of the Tsufurujin and do not realize that Baby was no ordinary Tsufurujin. He was a Tsufurujin clone in a Machine Mutant body. It would be genius nonetheless if that General RIrudo guy would end up being the Tsufurujin. But my guess i that it is the Dr. Mu guy.

Well, you know that it gets serious if shirtless Goku makes an appearance. Oh yeah, and that new form looks pretty good too.

About the V-Jump cover: Is that implying that Gohan will request for Piccolo to magically zap his gi on at some point... ?

Step aside Super Saiyan God, theirs anew flavor in town and I like it. Shame I still have to cheer on Jiren to wreck it though lol.

Lets see....

The base is like normal Goku, der, but has elements of both god forms, God and Blue mixed in with the eyes reminding me of SS4. Thats actaully a pretty good mix put into such a subtle transformastion. As for the aura, I wonder if it will start red and turn blue or will the colours shift, both would be cool.

Actually the eyes, while silver, remind me of nine-tails Naruto. Thats no big deal though, Naruto's borrowed so much from DB its only fare we get something back. Silver, slited eyes will do nicely.

I'll stick with "Limit Breaker" until it gets an offical name.

Not a litataral walls lol. Walls do not have to be brick and morter, concrete or steel. A wall of the mind and body can be repristented as anything, a wall of energy you cannot seem to reach into for example.
