I don't see why people would start loving it because of this episode. It was used once and I think Goku missed the punch. (I say "think" because my stream lagged a bit)

It's just as dumb here. If anything it might be a little dumber since Goku spent so much time in Blue after hitting instead of dropping back down to God immediately.

The biggest issue I had with this episode was the fact there was no mention or a hint of sadness for Gowasu. I would of expected at least our Kaioshin and Goku to react a little...

The 2nd thing, while I liked the reference to the manga, it was awkward seeing Goku jump in with God like that with once again barely any reaction from anyone or explanation.

They literally state he absorbed it. And even if he could use it, we were better off believing he couldn't. This retroactively fucks a lot of other battles in the series because Goku could have just gone SSG to make his job easier.

Another dangerous opponent that fight & used their heads instead of sitting around, he really evolved as a combatant

Yeah, I know transforming into it is useless (not for merchandising though) but it was never established that he couldn't transform into Super Saiyan God again.

Well, I am. What happened here was just Toei deciding to follow Toriyama's previously established information that Goku can transform into Super Saiyan God at will. So yeah, Goku has the form, even though not making much sense, being useless, he still has it nonetheless.

Because they only used it for an attack, just like how Goku used Blue here to attack, so there was no need for God in episode 98.

I mean, I actually liked it in the manga (It was one of the few times I applauded it), though it also didn't make sense with how the Manga treats Blue.

It made sense with how the manga treated Blue, because Vegeta trained to remove the startup cost. It doesn't make sense in the anime since Goku has been spamming Blue effortlessly

I'm not surprised at all by SSGs execution, consequently I'm not at all angry about it either. I gave up during the Trunks arc. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Everyone reaches their breaking point eventually, mine just happened to be much earlier in the series than others. So this is not a big deal at all to me and I'm actually just happy it made an appearance at all in the first place.

I'm surprised that apparently the Zenos couldn't really catch Dyspo's speed. Perhaps they're not very trained combat wise, but are indescribably strong.

And Jiren standing there with his arms crossed with no words once again. Starting to think he's a mute, because so far he's incredibly boring with a dull design too.

Dyspos initial appearance probably should have been a little better and showcased his speed. Or at least gone the Jiren route and kept his abilities a mystery. It doesn't bother me much, but I can see why people are shocked that Dyspo isn't as much a push over as they might have thought.

He had to be saved twice in the same episode by his fellow pride trooper who ended up getting eliminated too, but yes I'm surprised he's that strong. He's the third strongest in his universe after Jiren and the Eggman.
