As for his muscle mass, that's just a part of Toriyama's art nowadays. I can't help but wonder if Super Saiyan God was ever meant to be slimmer at all, or if that was just how Toriyama drew it and the anime staff took it at face value, when it had been meant to be Goku's basic normal mass.

That's reasonable explanation but doesn't Roshi's redesign (which I happen to like) go against this? I am aware of his buff form but unless he has a stretchy tank top then surely he can't be using that during the screenshots and trailer so far.

The art style immediately makes me think of the promotional poster Toriyama-sensei drew for Kami to Kami/Battle of Gods.

It's odd to me that Supreme Kai was drawn in that BoG promo, and not KibitoKai...

I think the design perfectly fits Gohan, especially considering that the FnF movie is set during the period in which he becomes a scholar. So naturally, he would look like a nerd.

His hair actually looks pretty cool in that sketch, especially with the strong, white highlight. It looks completely different in the film (not just the shading).

On that image of Goku and Vegeta having the same symbol on their outfits...(this has probably been brought up before)I imagine they're both training together under Beerus/Whis? If so, I can't wait. Even if it's not underneath those two (then who?) I'm still excited at the though of them training together.

Gohan looks so amazing! I'm glad it's not exactly the bowlcut anymore, because while that was cute when he was 5, it's not too good looking for a grown up (not that Gohan would care because he's the biggest nerd ever, but still) Ahhh! I want to watch this movie already! I'm so depressed about Saiyaman though, I truly loved him so much, he was my favorite part of the Buu arc... and now my headcanon that Pan is Saiyaman 3 is ruined

The way everyone has reacted to Gohans new look, wouldn't it be great if Toriyama threw us all for a loop and had Gohan be the one to beat Freeza?

Honestly, it seems a little strange for me that they are putting so much emphasis on Gohan at this point, he's never been into fighting as much as the other saiyans, and seemed like he had totally settled down as a scholar or whatever in EoZ... Not that I would ever complain about there being too much Gohan, but I had already accepted that he wouldn't be too prominent if there were further films. I would really love if he would play an important part in this movie, even if he doesn't kill Freeza.

I don't see anything about his mystic transformation either, but I can't see the furigana on top of the BoG screenshot, and I can't make out the kanji either, only that they were talking about his hairstyle in BoG... so let's wait for scans I'd say

I would watch the hell out of that movie. In fact, I think a manga spinoff of saiyaman's adventures would be amazing because Toriyama is great at handling loser/dorky characters, and he could stuff all the nonsense he loves in it!
