2ch rumour that Goku's new form to début 24/9 before the OP and DBS specials... If true what a way to leave off for 2 weeks.

I don't want to entertain this rumor from 2Chan in any capacity, so I'll just say this... I can't wait to see Goku's new form.

The only reason I put some stock into it, is the vjump tease, the timing of it makes sense if the actual form does début next month.

I don't think that the new form will be unveiled before final fight and September is way too early for that imo.

That would be the whole point, to get fans excited. However, why would it happen so early since Goku would beat everyone else apart from Jiren with ease? Unless Jiren is the not the strongest.

I could see it happening if only because it'd be a strong enough cliffhanger considering the tournament would be on break for two weeks. Of course that also makes me think this upcoming episode will have some major cliffhanger too since there's no episode the week after.

I'm all for new material, silly scenarios out-of-universe with the characters isn't what I had in mind.

I would even be happy with stories unrelated to the plot, if the characters in it are the ones we know. Not Samurai Vegeta, President of the United States Piccolo or Go Master Goku.

One Piece has done a bunch of different AU specials in the past, so I think that's where this is coming from.

Vegeta doesn't look that good as a samurai, but I'm still really excited at the possibilities here (I bet Gokû's gonna look so good in whatever his outfit is!) because if there was ever a point in Super where I needed things shook up a bit, it's during this tournament.
