No, I'm pretty sure they announced that they only have the Dragon Box Z footage for the episodes and movies.

Ah, yeah, sorry, that's what I meant, but the Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans OVA is on the Dragon Box Z, so that means they probably got it, right?Metalwario64 wrote:No, I'm pretty sure they announced that they only have the Dragon Box Z footage for the episodes and movies.

Re: Dragon Box 3 discussion
One can only hope... I would be thrilled to pieces if we managed to get that OVA/Movie/Game Video Walkthrough/whatever it is with our release. Of course we'd be honored to have the great Steve "Daimao" Simmons translate it for us to enjoy (if we get it).Paradox295 wrote:Ah, yeah, sorry, that's what I meant, but the Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans OVA is on the Dragon Box Z, so that means they probably got it, right?Metalwario64 wrote:No, I'm pretty sure they announced that they only have the Dragon Box Z footage for the episodes and movies.

Re: Dragon Box 3 discussion
I feel like it would be weird for both FUNimation and Toei to agree to a deal over the Dragon Boxes but then simultaneously agree that certain things within them wouldn't come with it. You'd think FUNi would say "We want the Dragon Boxes" and Toei would say either "yes" or "no." Cherry picking stuff to specifically leave out sounds like an awfully strange thing to do.

Re: Dragon Box 3 discussion
Well, I think some cherry picking did happen when it came to the disc art. Some images are from the original release (placement wise I'm not sure, but some used the original Dragonbox art) and some are from other releases like games, or even FUNimation exclusives drawn by them for Toei to create. So the idea of allowing certain things in seems probable.

Well, it doesn't make that little sense. If you consider that Toei didn't give FUNimation Dragon Boxes: The Actual Product but the masters of the episodes themselves. That might not necessarily include bonus features or anything else.TonyTheTiger wrote:I feel like it would be weird for both FUNimation and Toei to agree to a deal over the Dragon Boxes but then simultaneously agree that certain things within them wouldn't come with it. Re: Dragon Box 3 discussion
And considering that Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans is part of a game that was released only in Japan, you have to think about rights beyond that of Toei.
But hey, anything can happen at this point. To once think that the Dragonbox would never reach overseas, now is something we're buying now to cherish... in the way it was supposed to be seen.

Re: Dragon Box 3 discussion
Hey, looking at Kanzentai, in the original airdate order, The Bardock Special is between the last episode on Disc 9 (63) and the first on 10 (64), and The Trunks Special is between the last on Disc 25 (175) and the first on Disc 26 (176)
Weird coincidence?

Re: Dragon Box 3 discussion
I pointed that out ages ago and also said they might put a bonus disc in the second Dragon Book. Of course I was wrong though, but it's a pretty noteworthy thing to remember since you'll know where to watch the specials if they ever come aaand you want to watch it in the order it played on TV.Paradox295 wrote:Hey, looking at Kanzentai, in the original airdate order, The Bardock Special is between the last episode on Disc 9 (63) and the first on 10 (64), and The Trunks Special is between the last on Disc 25 (175) and the first on Disc 26 (176)

I'm still waiting, for all of my Dragon Boxes.
The thing that annoys me, is that there a likely possibility of me receiving my Dragon Boxes in two weeks.
Ugh, waiting is torturous.

Re: Dragon Box 3 discussion
Does anyone know a way to skip the trailers? I tried 'stop, stop, play' but it only takes me back to the Warning screen at the beginning.
Re: Dragon Box 3 discussion
If your remote is equipped with a "Title" or "Main Menu" button, that usually does the trick.
Re: Dragon Box 3 discussion
oh you're right 'title' button works. Thanks.Cipher wrote:If your remote is equipped with a "Title" or "Main Menu" button, that usually does the trick.
I was trying disc menu and next chapter button and they didn't work.

Re: Dragon Box 3 discussion
I'm a little curious about something. On Dragon Box 3.
Just how much of the Androids saga is on the Dragon Box 3?
As in how many episodes?

hahaha Glad I am not the only one cheesy enough to think of that.
Anyway, it would be nice to get the extras and the Dragon Boxes beyond the Z sets, but right now I am just hoping they complete this release with no issues.
Trans rights, now!

Re: Dragon Box 3 discussion
Got my Dragon Box on Wednesday. Noticed one of the slide covers was slightly dent on one side so the Goku image looks a little off. It's a minor thing, so no heavy damage. I watched everything up until Disc 14. I remembered one of the lines Freeza delivered after nearly being killed by the Genki Dama. EX mentioned it in one his podcasts and hearing it with the animated footage in question really does make it memorable.

I've been waiting since the 9th of May for all of mine. There at my uncle's house in England, while I'm over here!
Shouldn't be too long though, only about 1 or 2 more weeks.
EDIT:
Does anyone know if Kai (DVD and Blu-ray) is for sale in the UK/Ireland?
I can't find it in my local stores like HMV, Chartbusters, Golden discs and Xtravision.
