Go to the part one video. Check the earliest comments. He said on one of them "(I tested it, it was terrible)"

Well, it seems like Spike did an awful job with this game, and it's a bad game as it turns out.

Kinect has great, good and bad games, this seems like a bad game, but I haven't tried it out personally so I won't say if I liked it or not.

Interview is up, I'm surprised the game had enough new material to talk about for that long, although I haven't actually watched. :P Not sure if I wanna sit here for 30 minutes learning about a game that I can't buy, even if I wanted to.
This was a depressing interview. It basically confirmed there are no handheld DB games in development because they want to appeal to the west who only play console games. Nakajima also made it a point to emphasize Namco Bandai's need to add "new" things to games. While it is fine to add new features to games, it's also equally as good to just refine the experience you previously built. Fans were happy with the PS2 era because each iteration brought a noticeable improvement to the game's foundation. The visuals became more stylistic, and the combat system became more deep and engaging. Dimps, and Spike last gen continued to refine their experiences to the point where their games were no longer just good and fun for Dragon Ball fans, but rather just good games in general. This generation has lacked that. While Raging Blast 2 was a good step up from the first the fact of the matter is that the first set the bar very low, and rather than iterate upon that gameplay again to offer a more complete, maybe even an "Ultimate" version of that experience, they threw it all away in favour of a QTE based game. This shows a disturbing lack of understanding of what the fans want. Yes, it's true we want new things, but it's also true we want a quality game. I want a new take on Dragon Ball games because I don't want anymore games made by Spike as they've made so many poor ones in constant succession. Does this mean I'd turn away a quality Spike game? No, it just means I don't believe they can deliver one, and adding as many new Super Saiyan 4 Raditzes as the eye can see isn't going to change that. Instead of new modes, and transformations how about a new developer and genre.
"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.

I concur with SSP.

After watching all three parts I've decided to take some notes:
1 - Subtitles had grammar mistakes (ear = hear), wrong timing and were not accurately written.
2 - The blond hair guy (dunno what's his name) repetitively uses the term "hardcore" yet it's just Tenkaichi fan communities, it seems, simply call it Dragon Ball fan communities 'cos "hardcore" is misleading.
3 - The honorific "-san" was "Nakajima san" (part of #1 basically).
4 - "PS3 games and a little for Xbox 360" this right here is fanboy-ism and neither is it true, all communities want their franchise games' on the consoles they own, and I've in seen more videos of Raging Blast 1/2 on YouTube of gameplay from 360 than actually PS3, so I guess DB's somewhat more popular on 360 than PS3 this gen.
5 - Didn't really get why they laughed out loud for no reason, sometimes.
6 - They didn't even questioned the change of music on the international DB games.

All consoles should have equal rights so all fans can enjoy the same games regardless of what system they own.

I suppose the haters might have some right to criticize this game as there's not one person who's given positive feedback, or at least that I'm aware of.

By the way, is the Nostal/Treevax guy the one on the left side of the blonde guy?

French people can't spell English, but that has nothing to do with the content.

Yes, Nostal is the blonde haired man. As for your comment regarding console preferences, he was drawing upon his personal circle of friends. In Europe the PS3 is more commonly purchased than the 360 in all non-UK markets. From the very little I've seen from software sales tells me that indeed the PS3 versions do sell better. It helps that 50-100k of that comes from Japan, where the 360 is not a viable platform.

I thought some of this might be a little interesting: http://nostal.deviantart.com/journal/Me ... -313858684 Especially the part that seems to confirm our suspensions, that DBZ for Kinect is a stall tactic to give the developers more time to work on a proper game behind the scenes...
  • "Then, I tell him that the fans are very destabilized by DBZ for Kinect, which (as its title says) is only aimed at 360 players. I tell him that the PS3 fans feel a little betrayed.

Nishimura san excogitates. I understand that he is sorting what he can tell me, and what he can't. As a reminder, the announcements of the games are govern by strict contracts, between the rightholder (Shueisha/Toeï) and the producer of the game (Namco Bandai).

Then Nishimura san tells me: "I understand the concerns of the players. I can't answer directly, I am just going to ask you a question: What do you prefer between a game immediately, or a better game a little later?"

By asking us this question, Nishimura san confirms us without having to spell things out that our demands about a longer development time has been eared, and that something is likelihood getting ready behind the scene."

Yes! So my hunches were correct, now lets just hope that Spike will use this extra time wisely.

They could still release the game within the date they've announced and then bring out Patches/DLCs, so why exactly does Namco Bandai refuse to use DLC on DB?

Last game that got public DLC was Raging Blast, Raging Blast 2 did too but only those who pre-ordered or bought the LE got the exclusive content to download.

Note: It's better still that they take more time than dlc patches to fix the game.

Nah man I think its best that they have more development time.. when the game comes out next year and is any good then I wouldn't mind DLC but given how DLC is somewhat of a cliche now I doubt it'll happen plus the Raging Blast DLC was bullshit.

I disagree.

Not all of RB's DLC was great but Teen Gohan powered to the max was a fucking beast with grey hair + unlimited power/strength, plus other characters were similar, though, they didn't have grey hair like Teen Gohan did.

P.S.: I just used "Teen Gohan" to describe exactly which character I was talking about because he's a child during the Cell Games, still.

No, let's hope it's not Spike. If this were baseball they'd be sitting on the bench for a few innings after striking out.

It's clearly Spike who will develop the game. Which is why they've released DBZFK this year, so that they continue working on the real new game planned for winter 2013.

DBZFK? What's this? Dragonball Soccer/Football game?

DB Xenoverse is not a DBZ simulator with fighting elements, it's a semi competent fighting/action game with DBZ simulation elements.

It's the game's title: Dragon Ball Z For Kinect

Anyway, a football game with Dragon Ball characters would be pretty cool (FIFA-engine).
