When people link "unoriginal" ideas to "bad fanfiction". You could link a lot of things in DB to fanfiction.

I absolutely agree! People used to label GT as fan-fiction, which was annoying in its own right. But now, people will just "whoopity doo-dah" slap it onto anything that they deem not good enough, or not "original" enough in regards to the newer content. As a storyteller (albeit, not a writer) I can tell you that there's nothing I've thought of yet that hasn't been done before. That's the nature of fictional (and to a degree, non-fictional) storytelling. You take something old, twist and tweak it around as you see fit, throw a little bit of personality in, and call it yours. Nothing is original.

Really nothing nowadays. Shiting on Viz for Vegerot or someone questionable decisions (WHAT SAY YOU ?) and then turning around and say how great the original Funi dub was, is really the only thing.

TBF, stuff like Xenoverse comes off like an extremely bad fan fic (to me). Though I'm annoyed that fan fic does have such a negative reputation nowadays. I don't even like/read fan fic, but writing them all off as creepy and unoriginal is unfair.

I hate it everytime people just bluntly write "Akira" when talking about Akira Toriyama. Not "Mr. Toriyama", "Akira-san", "Toriyama-san", "Toriyama", "Akira Toriyama", nothing.

Coming from a huge GT fan, I can tell you that Super is my preference at this point.

GT had good Ideas but didn't execute them well and you could probably say the same for Super, but I think Super is a lot more entertaining to watch. A lot of parts in GT were just boring and retreads we'd already seen before imo.

And I think the most enjoyable thing of Super is Zamas. He is legitimately reminding me of my classic Final Fantasy villains. If GT would not have so many factors I love, like Dan Dan Kokoro, the Ending, the final battle, the fact that it is supposed to be a sequel after the manga and Baby, Super could be far above - maybe.

GT still had more cons, including animation, art designs. use of characters, emotional moments, In character Goku & Vegeta, badass villains, and and SSJ4. (Gogeta too)
It gave Majin buu a purpose, gave 18 a moment and rounded off Dragon ball as a whole really nicely.

Super...well, for me it's just lacking that Dragon Ball feel. The fights are mediocre, only 39 and 57 rivaled old school Dragon Ball. BUT, I honestly do love the Super manga xD as well as BoG and RoF. I want a third frickin' movie with this Zamasu stuff and then my life would be complete lol.

You're never supposed to address an author purely by first name when writing or even talking about their work. You learn this in like middle school. It's blunt and unprofessional to do so. in case you can't tell, I'm agreeing with you

"Dude" is pretty agreed upon as a neutral word these days. Not in the "That's a dude" sense, because that's very male, but saying things like "sup, dude" or "that's wrong, dude" is considered a-okay even when talking to a girl.
