I don't really get why there ending it at the cell arc. If they finished it at the freeza arc there could be a better conclusion to the game.
I finally bought a gamecube. To bad they don't make any games for it now.

Is there a single fighting game that ends at the Freeza ark? Super Saiya Densetsu, and think Legacy of Goku cut off there... but I'd only call them fighting games if... nah, I wouldn't. :P
Restricting it to the Freeza Saga might work (with some serious effort), but I don't think they could get away without at least ncluding Cell-era characters as unlockable. And since they're hyping the cenematics, it'd probably be easy to throw in a Cell story. *sigh*.
And going to just Freeza in a fighting game... Hmm... Let's try it!
Raditz Vs. Farmer with Shotgun
Raditz Vs. Piccolo, Goku and Gohan
Random trainig crap. Use this as an excuse to throw in King Kai and Kami. And with Kami, you might as well throw in the 23rd Budokai.
Ten, Yamcha, Kuririn, Piccolo... Vs. Saibamen
Ten, Chaozu Vs. Nappa
Piccolo, Gohan, Kuririn Vs. Nappa
Goku Vs. Nappa
Goku Vs. Vegeta (What about Oozaru?)
GGohan, Kuririn, Yajirobe Vs. Vegeta
(Again... Oozaru?)
Throw in some otherworld training if you desperately want more of the dead people. (Add Humans Vs. Ginyus later if desired.).
Gohan and Kuririn Vs. Freeza Henchmen. Bulma optional.
Vegeta Vs. Kewi
Dodoria, Zarban and Appule Vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Namekians.
Dodoria Vs. Gohan and Kuririn (Dende optional)
Vegeta Vs. Dodoria
Vegeta Vs. Zarban. Twice.
There's room here for filler involving Appule, Nail, Gohan, Kuririn, and Dende... somehow.
Bulma Vs. The Crab.
Ginyu force battles... I'm getting lazy.
Nail Vs. Freeza
Goku Ginyu bodyswitch.
Kuririn, Gohan, and Vegeta Vs. First two forms of Freeza.
Piccolo comes and pwns Freeza form2.
Then everyone fights Freeza's third form. Dende optional.
Then Freeza transforms again.
Then Goku comes out and does the rest. Somewhere in there Kuririn explodes and Goku goes SSJ.
... O.O.

Cutting out the obviously joke battles, that's a pretty decent story mode for a 20-character game.

1. Goku
2. Piccolo
3. Krillin
4. Yamcha
5. Tien
6. Chaiotzu
7. Vegeta
8. Raditz
9. Nappa
10. Saibamen
11. Dodoria
12. Kwi
13. Zarbon
14. Ginyu
15. Recoome
16. Guildo
17. Burter
18. Jeice
19. Freeza
20. Gohan
21. Freeza Soldier

E: Never mind, that was dumb. Budokai 1 had 23 characters, so they could have that roster, cutting out Saiyaman and Hercule.

Ugh... I'm not the "OMANS WE NEEDZ HUNDREDS OF CHARACTERS!!1" guy, but, I mean, seriously.

Aren't we to the point where we can go through the entire story? It was understandable with Budokai, because, if I'm thinking correctly, the Buu saga had either not started in the US (of course... it was a Japanese developed game, so my logic has very little relevence...), or was only in the very early stages.

This really seems like a Budokai 4, of sorts. It seems like the developers could throw us a bone and not make us buy the exact same game a year later, just so we can have the complete story... I mean, I was really looking forward to this, but now, I dunno. I'm kinda indecisive now.

...

Anyways, how well will this actually control on the 360? I always had trouble using the analog sticks on the PS2 controller, and the D-Pad on the 360 controller is kinda in an odd place. Not to mention that it's a piece of garbage.

I think the games going to be more like a budokai 1.5 instead of 4.
I finally bought a gamecube. To bad they don't make any games for it now.

May serves you right

But not for a hard fan. I only get the finest products around DBZ.

I am skipping this one but I am not mad.
I only have to wait until there is some Burst limit 3,
if the game is good enought to get there.

I am happy because I will have time to buy a proper console
at the right time. It is not like I don´t have a full house to keep on.

I'd skip it even if I had the consoles. I'm sick of buying new DBZ games every year for not all that much difference. I don't really give a damn if I can reenact the show exactly within the battles, that's what I have the DVDs and the manga for.

Unless/until a game comes out with something just totally awesome (23rd Budokai ChiChi :P), I'm not buying any more.

Rocketman has the right idea, I'll be skipping out on this one as well. Why take a water downed reenactment when I have the real thing. I wan't to play them not watch them, especially during the gameplay. :P

Ah, I understand. Actual fighting games are a bit more complicated than "LAWL A+B FOR KAMEUHMAYHA!" ;p

Wrong MajinVegetaXV, true figthing games are about 101 clones, sluggish controls with automatic lock-ons, and super earth shaking pill poping steroid beams. Let's forget all about that Street Fighter Z and play a nice game of rock paper scissors.

So... wait.

Burst Limit has 21 characters...

While Budokai 3 had some odd 35-40?

Granted, some really weren't needed (Videl, Mr. Satan) but how can you have so little? Even if you're going to only the Cell saga.

I'll just wait until 2010 for Burst Limit 3 and Sparking 6 before I buy another DBZ game.

I thought the same thing, but remember Budokai 1 only had 23 characters, and two of those were Saiyaman and Hercule.

I see they still have the thing where when you attack sombody on the ground it does like no damage. Which I think is bs.

I hate that this is just going to be Shin Budokai 2 on next gen, with the only thing changed are the visuals. Don't get me wrong. I love Shin Budokai and still play it now on a regular basis but I'm not going to buy the same exact game for my PS3. Especially when it's probably going to cost $60. But knowing me and my lack of will power, I'll probably buy this game just because it's somthing new.

Oh yea! And I'm just curious. Can anybody tell what they did for Tenshinhan's voice? Is it recycled audio or did they replace him?
