Yes, Pokemon is banking on Nostalgia on those 2 episodes(they are also featuring the returns of Jigglypuff, Bulbasaur, Rapidash). In a similar way how the Roshi episode was in DBS, idk but it just me but Pokemon handles Nostalgia better than DBS.

Roshi's episode wasn't banking much on nostalgia. The Pokemon anime has already been advertising Brock and Misty returning, while Super never advertised Roshi's episode to gather nostalgic fans. The closest we got with nostalgia hype in Super was Future Trunks returning + evil Goku. In fact episode 47 is the highest scoring episode of Super.

You're mistaken, there are plenty of original Pokémon fans who are even below 20, in their late teens and of course some in their early 20s.

I'm 27. Pokémon came out (to my understanding) in America when I was 7/8 ish. You're talking about people currently in their teens being fans of the original Pokémon. How could they if they weren't even born at that point...? Even early 20s would be a stretch.

Now if you meant that they like watching the original Pokémon then that's a different story. But to imply that kids who were still in their dads ball sack or 4 years old to be part of the "original fans" group, then that's a little silly.

I'm 20 now and I used to watch the Kanto saga on TV back when it was airing.

Don't forget that not everyone is an American. Some countries aired it a year or two later, like mine. I was also fairly knowledgeable so I could understand what was happening on the screen.

Yeah that's something I was wondering too. At worst they won't be numbered so international will have a separate longer episode count like Buu Kai.

What does everyone think epiosde 107 and 108 will be before the special?

I am going to say 107 is going to be about Universe 3 with them all being eliminated and 108 to be about Tien beating the remaining 4 fighters from Universe 4.

It is not Tien I have a problem with it is the Goku and Vegeta being there. Why not have Tien save them with Gohan and Piccolo knocking the sniper out.

This isn't a Tenshinhan focused episode though, Goku and Vegeta also are actively helping out. Considering how this sniper doesn't seem to be the U4's insects, it's very likely Tenshinhan will get focus in another episode.

This is not Vegeta' or Goku's main fight either so I don't really see your point.

The characters not from Universe 7 that they don't see as important should be shared around and not dominated by Goku and Vegeta.

I think Tien will defeat the 4 remaining Universe 4 members at least.

Oh dear, I was under the impression that Piccolo and Gohan chose to take cover from those beams, but from this new screen shot it does look like they got trapped under the rocks. It doesn't look like they're being crushed, but they're definitely in trouble. Hope Goku and Vegeta don't take up too much time.

They obviously will dominate because Toei think we need to see them do the kamehameha and Galick Gun again to show how good they are and how bad everyone else is.

I'd say it looks like them taking cover from the sniper by using the debris as cover.
