Looking at the pictures it seems it's gonna be a Tien/Goku/Vegeta combo in the old 'Everyone thinks they have the opponent trapped but he just makes them hit each other' trope

Though I try to shy away from useless speculation, I think it's just a classic of Ten finding the sniper and revealing their location, followed by Goku and Vegeta finishing off the sniper with a Galick Gun/Kamehameha team-up.

That would be awesome, but looking at nep, I remember Goku and Vegeta being nearly next to each other while doing the combo, kinda hard to hit their partners in that position..

If it were a team up, I think we'd see them in the same shot (Like in the preview) instead of the seperate shots that kind of remind me of when Piccolo and Goku run up at Broly.

Everyone here wants to see a team up and I'm here hoping those beam needles hit Goku and Vegeta's pressure points or something so that they drop unconscious to the ground. Now it's up to Tien to save the day!

Seriously though, I prefer it when more characters are involved, but I would've preferred Vegeta and Tien to be forced to work together. I want to see Vegeta paired up with anyone other than Goku for once.

Aside from Goku the only person I could see teaming up with Vegeta is Freeza, their interactions have been one of the best moments of this arc.

You bring a good point, it would be sad if Piccolo has an overall worse performance than Roshi, it would confirm how out of touch Toriyama is with the fanbase. Roshi, as for now, has the most eliminations in the ToP excluding Goku and Vegeta

Has the Goku and Vegeta team up become... boring to anyone else? I feel like it's just become tired and repetitive. It's stop being something special and dynamic and is now just predictable to me. The episode hasn't aired yet but i'm positive 106 is gonna end with them doing the Galick Gun Kamahamaha combo. It's a very predictable and boring finish.

I don't even think the dialogue between Goku and Vegeta has been that good lately either. It would be awesome if they would replace Goku or Vegeta with Freeza and have him team up to take out a major threat. Atleast it would be something fresh...

It is not just the fanbase it is completely out of character for Piccolo. Against the lower tier fighters Piccolo should have taken out more than 1 easily and should be going through them like they are nothing. This is the same with Frieza.

There have been 39 non universe 7 knockouts and Frieza and Piccolo have 3 between them and that is just completely out of character.

Piccolo and Frieza rampaging through weaker fighters would not make great tv but it is not right as well.

It is just going to be a repeat of episode 98. Any different combination then Goku and Vegeta would be more exciting as the audience will be thinking how good will they work together.

They just think we want to see obvious matchups and there is also to many throwbacks.

Yes. I did a whole fan-comic about Piccolo and Vegeta being forced to work together, and I started it before BOG.

Granted, Vegeta receives the necessary development to make him more compatible with others only after the Buu Saga, but the wish has always been there. I've never been a big fan of the great rivalry but after 100 episodes I can now say that their dynamic has gotten a bit stale for me. :/ I know I'm in the minority here. so I don't expect this to change anytime soon.

But you know what another great pair up would be? Vegeta and 18.

I think it's less the matchups themselves and more how they are handled..
Goku and Vegeta can be really interesting if they have some dynamic while teaming up.
Freeza could have been horrendous but it's one of the best things the come out of super..
It's all on the execution which fails badly most of the times..
Not true for piccolo and Gohan though, that team can go fuck itself, for the love of God sperate those two..
