It looked amazing, why was it scrapped?

Honestly, it was a good call to scrap it. That whole "make it more Saiyan like" would have completely ruin Cell's character.

I didnt wanna fall into the trap so many other fan series do by rehashing old villains. Yeah id have put more of a spin on it and changed some things up but at the end of the day it was just a redesigned Cell. He was gonna be 80% Saiyan instead of the Daizenshuu listed 40% but as I said, wanted to break the mold and decided to go with something new.

I see. The problem wasn't the design, it was the character's backstory roughly unchanged. Fair enough
