I'm guessing Viz will release their version of the Super manga by January of next year because there was a 9 month gap between the Japanese and English release of Jaco The Galactic Patrolman, and interestingly the latter was released on April 4th too :D .

I honestly can't wait to hear about Toriyama and Toyataro's joint interview tomorrow, as I'm really intrigued to hear where the Dragon Ball story will go in the coming years.
Do you have any info about international non-English broadcasts about the Dragon Ball anime or manga translations/editions? Please message me. Researching for a future book with Dragon Ball scholar Derek Padula

I know why they wouldn't completely redraw Resurrection F because it had been done a few months prior but doing one more mesely 30 page chapter to give a conclusion to the battle with Frieza and throwing it in the volume for completionary's sake wouldn't have been that hard. I still want to buy and support the volume when it comes out but this still sucks.

Hopefully someone will get their hands on it today instead.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

It'll be the 4th in Japan in a few hours. It's possible someone willing to show off the interview will have the book. Some people on Twitter have already had it since at least yesterday morning (US time), but there's been nothing posted of the internal contents though.

I don't suppose anyone has heard yet if the first collected volume features the entire "F" arc?. As the V-Jump 3 chapter special missed out the final part of the movie.

I really hope Toyotarō has drawn it, otherwise, it would be very strange.

It seems it goes from Kami to Kami straigth into Champa arc but I can't confirm the picture I saw was real.

You're correct. Honestly I'm just gonna treat the lack of the F chapters as a time skip as akin to the Cell arc transition into Buu.
Dragon Ball /Z/GT/Super is a children's show and there's nothing wrong with that.

How odd. Thank you very much for the info though, really appreciate it.

It's not really odd. The volume contains the material Toyotaro has drawn under the Dragon Ball Super name. As much as I would have liked the including of his Resurrection "F" adaptation, It was marketed the same as the film (and is incomplete as well). Having it included was pretty much always a pipedream. :(

I see what you mean, and when you put it like that, it makes sense not to include it.

Though Shueisha have the anime comic available for "F", so buying that would, in theory complete the Arc - just not the Super version.
But to be fair, the movie was the way Toriyama originally intended the Arc to play out, so throwing that comic version in, would in theory be as close as you're going to get, and will suffice.

I don't mind that Resurrection "F" isn't in the volume, it's not like they did a complete adaptation of Battle of Gods, and not many important things happened in Resurrection "F" either.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

It was basically synopsis of the movie with pictures.

https://twitter.com/DBZcom/status/716966264242114560 has some pictures of the bonus drawings in the manga volume. We find out Vegeta learned those bingo moves from exercise videos. :3

*Looking forward to her own copy of the manga arriving.* This really looks like it'll be worth the money spent.

I'm really curious at what Sorbet is saying there. Probably nothing important.

It's not like its a full chapter and the volume is out. There shouldn't be anything wrong with posting them here. If someone had found them beforehand, they should have just been posted here directly incase someone wanted to translate them.

Thank you for sharing! Kuririn's was the best. A shame we didn't get to see that form, it's my favorite.

"W-we got skipped."

Dead serious.

Vegeta's also telling Mr. Satan he doesn't need the money and to get lost.

Kuririn is roughly: "So he's not going to turn into that form? Thank goodness."
