Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I really don't like this thing the fandom does by grouping people as X fanboy. Look we're all fans of the franchise and that's it. All these groupings are nonsensical and people literally take the show too seriously, it's just a cartoon at the end of the day these characters are just fiction...

We all have our favorite characters, arcs, series, dubs, etc. but at the end of the day we love Dragon Ball no matter our preference. I hope more fans will understand this and not look down on ceetain fans for their preference.

Whether we like it or not these groups exist in every form of fiction and non-fiction and are probably responsible for for more than half of all discussion that exists.sintzu wrote:This.Baggie_Saiyan wrote:I really don't like this thing the fandom does by grouping people as X fanboy. This includes everything from sports teams and politics to anime, comics and video games.
Overall people just like arguing.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
That's perfectly fine. What I take issue with is grouping people into something and using it in a negative way. We've all done it (I do it sometimes without thinking) but hopefully it'll get less as time goes on and fans will understand that Vegetanamekiansaiyan wrote:People just like arguing.

Maybe I was too harsh in my wording, but anyone who doesn't think an early Vegeta elimination isn't going to elicit a strong reaction is just being naive.
There's a reason why he's being photoshopped into fake pics, no other character is. Not Gohan, Not Piccolo, not even Goku.
There's a reason why people have been trolling about the ending images. I just don't want to the same ole discussions.

That is what I mean, people do it all the time without realising in real life and no one takes any notice but when people write it down it seems to have a different meaning when it shouldn't.sintzu wrote:That's perfectly fine. fans, etc. I'm joking with the smilies are at the end of the day all fans of DB and that's what's important.
I just see it as a bit of fun that has happens all the time and to me it usually creates a more fun discussion instead of it being boring and serious all the time.
A perfect example for you is if Goku and Vegeta had another fight in the future, you would want it to be important to the story and be a good choreographed fight but deep down the thing you want the most is a Vegeta win. If Vegeta won you wouldn't mind speaking about it but without realising you will be annoying and triggering fans of Goku.
[spoiler]Vegeta will never win so you don't have to worry about this situation ever happening.

Uh, looking at all of their fights so far, the only fight that had a winner, Vegeta beat Goku.namekiansaiyan wrote:

Kind of a little bit contradictory there, mateDoctor. wrote:As someone whose least favorite character in the series is Gohan, I'll be extremely surprised AND disappointed if he's not somehow involved with the climax of the arc after all the build-up.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
He's being photoshopped because of the ending theory. A lot of people genuinely expect him to go out next. Not that your argument is incorrect, that's just a bad example.Yedis wrote:Maybe I was too harsh in my wording, but anyone who doesn't think an early Vegeta elimination isn't going to elicit a strong reaction is just being naive.

Disclaimer: I might get into a disagreement with you. Sometimes I might even get feisty about it. I'll never harbor negative feelings because of it though. I hope you feel the same way!Jinzoningen MULE wrote: Maybe I should start making it a point not to comment when I'm not sure of something. Too many people know what they're talking about around here.
I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
No, it's not. It's putting the quality story ahead of everything else. The story has hyped up Gohan, so if they do nothing with him, it would have all been useless. I like to imagine nobody is petty enough to hate a character so much to the point of wanting the story to worsen in exchange for having his character perform badly, but some users here like to prove me wrong (not you).Noah wrote:Kind of a little bit contradictory there, mateDoctor. wrote:As someone whose least favorite character in the series is Gohan, I'll be extremely surprised AND disappointed if he's not somehow involved with the climax of the arc after all the build-up.

Plus the spoiler has people primed to be susceptible to fakes. Same reason people post fake leaks around the time real leaks tend to be coming out.kinisking wrote:He's being photoshopped because of the ending theory. So you may think the same about Krillin, then?Doctor. wrote:The story has hyped up Gohan, so if they do nothing with him, it would have all been useless.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Indeed. I fucking hate Ribriane, but it wouldn't make sense for her to just randomly be tossed off. She's been hyped so they have to do something more with her, even if I dislike her. Same with the likes of Kale and Cauliflowa who are hit and miss with me depending on the episode.Doctor. wrote:No, it's not. It's putting the quality story ahead of everything else. Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

1) If Gohan is your least favorite character, why would you be disappointed? At best you should be neutral towards his participation in the tournament.
2) What does the quality of the story have to do with you assuming that he'll be involved with the climax of the arc? The main event of the tournament has been hyped to be Goku vs Jiren. Literally nothing about Gohan has been hyped up in regards to the climax. The only things that were hyped up about him was that he would regain his strength and he would be a great asset. It hasn't been useless. He's gotten rid of troublesome opponents and will continue to do so.

Like the Main Event of the U6 arc was hyped to be Goku vs Hit but at the end it was Hit vs Monaca, or the Trunks Arc main event being Vegetto vs Merged Zamasu only to be Zeno vs Merged Zamasu.
Goku new transformation might be temporarily like when he had SSJB+KKX10 in the U6 Arc imo.

Main event is not the same as the final fight/kill.perucho1990 wrote:Like the Main Event of the U6 arc was hyped to be Goku vs Hit but at the end it was Hit vs Monaca, or the Trunks Arc main event being Vegetto vs Merged Zamasu only to be Zeno vs Merged Zamasu.

The main event on the Namek arc was SSJ Goku vs Freeza, not SSJ Trunks killing Freeza.

While I am not much on hating a fictional character much, I Indeed Agree Wholly with you on the Fact that Ribrianne has been one of the Most Promoted New Characters in this Arc and by that alone means she will not be thrown out to easy or even thrown out at all by the end, many can still be in this by the time the clock runs out. Marketing would not spend early time and money on ToP New Characters if they got Outlasted by non-promoted New ToP Characters, basic logic of Marketing and Character Development for Promotion.dbzfan7 wrote:Indeed. If you think Vegeta is getting an early KO because of a few ridiculous theories and a photoshopped photo, you're part of the problem.Yedis wrote:Maybe I was too harsh in my wording, but anyone who doesn't think an early Vegeta elimination isn't going to elicit a strong reaction is just being naive.

People can't accept the fact that Krillin and Tien were knocked out because they were two of the three transparently weakest fighters on the team. Why Roshi is still on the stage is way beyond me.
How i predict the tournament will end:
