No it won't and you fail to remember that Piccolo has got a power up as well and 18 is weaker than Piccolo. Roshi is the weakest on the team but is very skilled.

What is the terrible thing though is it before Goku's transformation or after.

What could be so terrible? The only thing I could really think off is Frieza doing something to Gohan or that Jiren does some serious damage and is allowed to get away with it for some reason.

Maybe the Omni Kings get bored of interruptions to Gokû vs Jiren so they erase the rest of the competitors? I dunno. I keep thinking this arc is going to have a consequence-free ending where everything is wished back with the super db's. It's why I haven't been able to get worried for anyone in the arc.

You know, in the midst of all this special talk, I've noticed that Jiren only has 3 lines of dialogue total. I think they were "Get lost," "I got this," and "It's over." We know nothing about this guy. It's hard to get hyped about a potential match up when we know nothing about one of the characters. When Toppo was introduced, you could tell what type of personality he had right away. Jiren just seems "super duper strong and quiet." I'm still anticipating the special because I heard that the staff is going to be really great, but for now I don't really care about Jiren at all.
