Well, yes, if he said "brothers and sisters" I guess that is a problem. I never heard the line or saw the episode. But you really can't have a "gender-confused" Namekian, now can you?
Do you follow the most comprehensive and entertaining Dragon Ball analysis series on YouTube? If you do, you're smart and awesome and fairly attractive. If not, see what all the fuss is about without even having to leave Kanzenshuu:

Chilax. It's the edited dub, remember? We don't have to give a shit about it.penguintruth wrote:It's still pretty bad that Dende used "sisters" and then said there weren't any females a moment later.MR.Mark wrote:witless seems a little harsh for what appears to be a minor fuck up. I'd love to see a parody where Chi-Chi forbids Piccolo from seeing Gohan. So Piccolo disguises himself as a female nanny so he can spend time with him.Gaffer Tape wrote: But you really can't have a "gender-confused" Namekian, now can you?

Sounds like an honest slip up rather than an edited line to me. Despite not being a huge problem, we have every right to be concerned if something like this flies under the radar. Hopefully Funi will pick up on it before the second DVD set thanks to fan reaction.Piccolo Daimaoh wrote:Chilax. It's the edited dub, remember? Ofcourse not...he'd play Chi-Chi, Harvey Fierstein will be Gohan.SaiyamanMS wrote:... Starring Robin Williams as Piccolo?MR.Mark wrote:I'd love to see a parody where Chi-Chi forbids Piccolo from seeing Gohan. So Piccolo disguises himself as a female nanny so he can spend time with him.

Well, Nicktoons has updated their schedule on their site, and episode 27 "A Touch-and-Go Situation! Gohan, Protect the Four-Star Ball!" is set to air on Thursday! Meaning, it is now confirmed that they are airing past the volume 2 episodes!

I hope it's not just that one episode to fill out the entire week though...

Oh we better get episodes beyond 27. According to Kanzentai's episode guide, episode 28 is the debut of the Ginyu Taskforce! I wanna hear the new voices!Metalwario64 wrote:I hope it's not just that one episode to fill out the entire week though...

This all depends where we're at in the dubbing process, though it's clear they're either at the Freeza Fight and are taking a break(Look out Japan we're comin for ya!) or they're still dubbing.
We'll see the whole Namek arc on Nicktoons, we'll even get to hear Trunks! Course they may take a month or 2 break to let Japan get more eps out.

We'd BETTER get to hear the Ginyu Special Corps....
Re: "DragonBall Z Kai" TV Broadcast Talkback
And when we do, I want their vas to sing the theme together. Would be awesome.
So, even if they aired 27 episodes (continuing at least to Thursday), we'd still miss out on the Ginyu Sentai (Milkranger!) *couldn't resist*.
I hope they continue on for a while. Maybe double what we thought. Imagine them stopping in the 50s. Epic catchup followed (likely) by one episode a week period.

Re: "DragonBall Z Kai" TV Broadcast Talkback
At current pace, it'll take approximately 2 months to complete the Freeza arc. By which point, assuming Japan doesn't skip any weeks, we should be 17 episodes behind the Japanese broadcast. That's just over four months behind new Japanese Kai. Four months is pretty close to Japanese broadcast. By comparison, Pokémon, a show which is dubbed relatively quickly, is about five months behind Japan.
If we get the entire Freeza arc, I figure that most likely we'll get some reruns before Trunks turns up. Of course, switching to one a week at that point does at least sound somewhat plausible.

I just wish they would go to one episode a week, already...so we wouldn't have to worry about it...

Actually, I'm hoping for them to catch up so we can get some sort of simulcast online.Big Momma wrote:I just wish they would go to one episode a week, already...so we wouldn't have to worry about it...

Re: "DragonBall Z Kai" TV Broadcast Talkback
Curiously, do they play the full Ginyu Tokusentai song in Kai (or at least, portions with lyrics)? I really want to hear that thing dubbed.
On the matter of the dub itself, things are moving at a good pace. I remember repeats out of the ass of this period, so one does hope that we get beyond the Ginyu stuff before it stops.

Nope just the chorus, so if FUNI somehow manages a way to screw it up in English I'll be really impressed.Mewzard wrote:Curiously, do they play the full Ginyu Tokusentai song in Kai (or at least, portions with lyrics)?

Re: "DragonBall Z Kai" TV Broadcast Talkback
Hm... I wonder if they will go ahead and call them the Ginyu Tokusentai in the DVD version, and leave the song in Japanese?

Re: "DragonBall Z Kai" TV Broadcast Talkback
It makes me wonder, will the chorus in Only a Chilling Elegy have to be redone for the English version? I personally hope not, as it's my favorite moment from the song. I can't see Funi doing justice to that ominous haunting chorus.

I was hoping for the Japanese version, but if they get the footage soon enough before broadcast, why not?linkdude20002001 wrote:A simul-cast dub?
