Which means the week after that 4kids will premiere 27 and 28. The Ginyu Force beckons to the CW airwaves.

Re: DragonBall Z Kai - TV Network Version (CW4Kids\Toonzai)
Some of these edits are just plain embarrassing. They might as well just put a censor bar over Popo instead of making him fuckin blue (or do it South Park-Muhammad style and bleep out every mention of his name or everytime he appears they should put a screen over that reads "Toonzai has refused to show the image of the racially inappropriate image of the character Mr. Popo"). I also don't understand the point of changing the next episode previews, did they thought "Hm, that looks too happy and doesn't look american enongh, so how about instead we make it comic book style and more hardcore... and american!" Also... what the fuck.

My simulation of how Toonzai might end up doing Frieza defeated.

No, they'll keep the Nicktoons version the way it is.

You sure about that? They objected to a swollen eye on Gohan.

They objected to that because of the whole violence against kids thing. The Nicktoons version of Freeza's death is already heavily edited and good enough for CW.

Re: DragonBall Z Kai - TV Network Version (CW4Kids\Toonzai)
How about, on Yugioh, when saw blades "sent them to the shadow realm", instead of chopping off their feet?
There's a difference between punching someone's hand off and a blade cutting them in half.
I guess we'll see how bold they are when we see Guldo getting beheaded, assuming they leave his head headless.

Re: DragonBall Z Kai - TV Network Version (CW4Kids\Toonzai)
We never saw the blade chop Freeza in the Nicktoons version, so there's no reason for CW to change anything from that. I'm also curious how they handle Guldo's death on the CW. I think they'll keep it the same because we never see his head come off in the Nicktoons version either, it just goes from being there to not. Besides, Guldo is an alien and CW lets more violence slip when there's something "fantasy" involved, hence the FV in the TV-Y7-FV rating.
BTW, that blade to "shadow disk" edit was done back in the day of Kids WB and their strict editing polices on anime, resulting in invisible finger guns and loads of shadow realm and absolutely no physical contact violence on Yu-Gi-Oh DM.
Now that 4kids owns the block on the CW, they've been letting more violence in Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's, characters punching each other and guns unedited (but added laser sound effects when they're fired).

Even so, I doubt THIS will be shown on the Toonzai version.

Re: DragonBall Z Kai - TV Network Version (CW4Kids\Toonzai)
Meh. They might. It falls under the category of fantasy violence.

Again, they edited out Gohan's swollen eye. You really think they'll keep in Frieza with half of his face (Eye and all) missing?

Re: DragonBall Z Kai - TV Network Version (CW4Kids\Toonzai)
Gohan is a kid. Freeza is an alien. There's a difference.

New episodes of Dragon Ball Kai resume next Saturday at its regular time of 10am and 10:30am.
Re: DragonBall Z Kai - TV Network Version (CW4Kids\Toonzai)
Assuming 4kids has bought the rights to 26 more episodes, we'll be seeing up to episode 52 of Kai on Toonzai. They might burn the episodes off during this summer, or air them all until May and show reruns during summer while they get the next batch of 26 episodes ready for broadcast by the fall.

The Ginyu Force finally arrived this week on the CW4Kids.
Also they got rid of the comic strip style episode previews it seems which kind of sucks. Instead now they are just using clips from the show with the announcer doing a voice over.

Edits I noticed:
27
Freeza's wine was changed into water.
28
The bikini model in Bulma's magazine was given more clothes.

29 and 30 aired.
Jeice's line "We're gonna beat you up!" was removed.
Guldo's body disappears after he's killed. And his death was a little different.
Vegeta's line "Makes me want to vomit!" was changed to "Makes me want to throw up!"
Kuririn's line about every bone in his body being broken was removed.
But, all the action scenes was kept. Even the orange blood.

I'm sure he says throw up in the Nicktoons version, too. Atleast, from what I remember.Vegeta's line "Makes me want to vomit!" was changed to "Makes me want to throw up!"
Re: DragonBall Z Kai - TV Network Version (CW4Kids\Toonzai)
30 and 31 aired.
Meh. I wasn't really paying attention.
Added groans to Recoome and Burter every time they were on screen but unconscious.
They let Vegeta blow Recoome up without any sparkles. Yay? Burter still moaned after he was supposed to have his neck broken. Meh.
Ginyu's line "Freeza will have our heads!" was changed to something else I didn't catch.
I'm sure a few blows from the Goku-Ginyu fight were removed. Or it felt like it. Whatever. Am I only one that still watches Kai on Toonzai?

I'd like to watch it if they'd update their damned website. The newest one they have is "The Countdown to Battle Begins! Enter, the Ginyu Force!"
