Yeah, individualizing oozarus is just... not fun... because they don't really do much in the first place.

I suppose one could make changes to how they move as well as how they fight. Like, I could see Raditz or Goku/Gohan stomping around all wildly, while Vegeta and his father have this deliberate "I'm going to crush you and there's nothing you can do about it" sort of control to their movements. Meh, any way to add character depth to fights ... might win. *cough*charactermatchupspecifictaunts...

I suddenly think an interesting bit of pre-fight Dialogue would be Goten Vs an Oozaru. :D


*still thinks support characters would make completing the cast and expanding the awesome out of the storyline a lot easier*

It'd be more suitable to get a what-if adult Gotenks than an Oozaru form out of him IMO. I mean, we don't even know if Goten and Trunks were born with tails (which if Trunks was, it'd make no sense for Bulma to remove it, since there was no moon). It was never stated in any Daizenshuu or official product, I believe Toriyama even stated they were born without them due to the Earthling heritage. Actually, let me correct my last statement. we do know from the movie 11 credits that Goten wasn't born with one.

Well, that didn't stop Vegeta in GT. But yeah, I agree that adult/teen Gotenks would be a lot more meaningful than an Oozaru version. And that there should definitely be a means to cut oozarus down to size in-game... Maybe just hitting them with a rush from a sword-wielder would work?

Keeping in line with the Oozaru chatter: Whould you want the designers to make them larger to better emulate with the series? I not saying the have to be REALLY REALLY HUGE, but just bigger than they are now. What are they about two or three times the size of normal heighted characters? Or maybe have specially designated battle with really really large Giant characters. We could better re-enact the Goku-Piccolo tournament battle, the Goku-Great Ape Vegeta battle and the Giant Slug and Hirldegarn battles.

Also, should Piccolo and Papa Piccolo have a giant mode just like Slug? Maybe have an alternate skin for Papa Piccolo that's Kami and when he spits out the egg *SURPRISE* it The Popo.

You know, all this speculation over characters, I haven't seen much in the way of speculation over levels. And not every level can have a day/night effect. Plus, do the day and night levels count as 1 or 2 levels in that 20 level count? Hmmm. *decides to make a level list* I'm thinking its 20, not counting the day or night seperately. I *am* going to count Destroyed Namek and Janemba's Hell seperately since they are more than just lighting changes.

16 and below are pretty much guess work, though the French Atari boards say that Hell is in...

If I recall correctly, Toriyama-sensei said that Trunks and Goten weren't born with tails because it's a recessive gene trait.

Those are Kuririn's normal eyes. Not entirely sure what specifically you mean by "old" eyes. In Dragon Ball his eyes shapes were circles, almost everyone's were, but that was because of the animation style. Also when Kuririn was first introduced in Dragon Ball (and it stayed this way for a few episodes) Kuririn had normal colored white eyes. But the Kuririn is that picture for Sparking Meteor / Budokai Tenkaichi 3 has neither, so I'm not sure what you mean.

By "old" eyes Kak they probably mean Kuririn with white eyes instead of the more common "flesh" coloured eyes. Either way is fine with me... :) Kuririn is one of the most underrated characters of Dragonball. :lol:

I just really hope that you can run/walk in this game. I'm going to get pissed if you can't.

I mean, just look at the Lord Slug fight with Goku sprinting about the city. It really messes up the game to just be able to glide and hover.

One of my favorite things in Budokai 3 was that when you dashed along the ground with Goten, instead of flying he'd actually run.

Yay more androids

Hope arale is really in the game, her rush attack could be a game of tag ending with the opponent flying away after being head butted and of course a mouth beam, and maybe Gatchan will float behind her and be a paralysis attack like freeza, piccolo, buu etc and normal combat will sometimes involve poo on a stick (smiling poo of course).

Sounds like a very fun character to play as

I've been VERY loyal to Dragonball Z games so far, buying each on release, I've loved them all.. but slowly but surely, I've released the wasted potential of the Sparking games.
This game seems EXACTLY the same as NEO so far, and if it keeps it up, I'm not even sure if I'll buy it this time around.
I think I'll stick with something a little different, like Goku Densetsu.

To be completely honest i dont care if its exactly the same as Sparking NEO because i enjoyed playing it.

If Meteor is just like NEO with a few improvements and characters I'm happy. I like the ability to fly around and hide, Its very much like the series.

Budokai 3 was fun and probably still the best fighting Dragonball Z game next to Super Dragonball Z but it got boring to fight my brother against, it was the same every match

1. Charge up
2. Throw a punch
3. Teleport
4. Teleport
5. Teleport
6. Teleport
7. Teleport
8. Teleport
9. Whoever Runs out of KI first gets hit

and repeat step 1 through 9 until you or your opponent loses
(at least thats how the matches go against my brother).

Also (off topic) i went back and played the original sparking (it was horrible) and made me remember why i almost didn't buy Sparking NEO

I am so tired of just hovering in the arena! :x

If they make it like Budokai 3, they better add in the walk/run feature.

Y'know, I really hate to say it...

But this game is gonna suck. I'd rather eat the rotten asshole of a roadkill skunk than know another shitty 'Sparking' game is coming out, with wasted potential.

I never used to be like this. Until, that is, my expectations were broken over and over again. I hope this game doesn't suck, but deep down inside... we're still gonna have that clunky piece of shit known as the 'Sparking' series.
