James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Why would they have a showdown? And Towa doesn't appear like she wields incredible power to me. She's definitely more of a sorceress.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:I think it's referring to Towa?DNA wrote:"Two stand at the peak of the Demon Realm of Darkness, two who wield incredible power and would never give in to each other."

I wonder if Towa will have a Super form as well. You know when it comes to Mad Scientists they also like to experiment on themselves for power.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:I think it's referring to Towa?DNA wrote:"Two stand at the peak of the Demon Realm of Darkness, two who wield incredible power and would never give in to each other."

I don't like his new form at all, I much prefer his original design.
Re: "Dragon Ball Heroes" On-Going Discussion Thread
The God Mission 3 promotional video sure does have some identity issues. It promotes both Super and XenoVerse.

Card download should be updated in a few minutes (when my computer stops freezing), but here are the website version of the SECs:

Hmm, General Bōn got a promo card:

Hey, Xenoverse and Heroes at this stage are pretty much peas in a pod.JulieYBM wrote:The God Mission 3 promotional video sure does have some identity issues. It promotes both Super and XenoVerse.
I still can't get over SSJ3 Bardock though.

Re: "Dragon Ball Heroes" On-Going Discussion Thread
So I guess the other "incredible power" is Super Saiyan 3 Xeno Bardock, should have seen that coming.
The card for Mira just says Mira, no mention of "Uncontrolled" Mira. So what is it? Is there a new version of Mira or is this just a form of regular Mira?
And I reinstate my previous question, is there any card transformation for Saiyan Beyond God or did they just gloss over that?

How does his headband even stay attached with all of that hair?

Updated my post with bios for the new Makai Arc characters. Plus, General Bōn got a promo card, with an attack named "Wild Typhoon",
Oh, and Bardock's Rebellion Edge is kinda badass...: https://twitter.com/vongoreblow/status/ ... 3892156421
The only cards that use the form in any sort of way are the ones that debuted "?" for SSGSS before the film came out.

Like I mentioned earlier with it being the base form of the card, the kanji for "Runaway" is under the base form on the card's transformation mechanic. It was never stated to be anything different like Bebi's forms. Super Mira is still up in the air though, because he doesn't have his own card yet.DNA wrote:The card for Mira just says Mira, no mention of "Uncontrolled" Mira. So what is it? Anyone know who's been doing the artwork in the ssjg Gokû vs Beerus portions of the last couple 2D animated CM's? I really like their ssjg Gokûs.
On hiatus.

Team Unit for the Kaioshin Avatar: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lgMEAtM5aWM
Time Kaioshin's attack and Videl has her BOG costume now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_daZVMJSLc
SS3 Bardock's Rebellion Edge and BOG Videl in better quality: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDfczIlX684
I'm laughing that Bardock: Xeno's SS2 form has Goku's SS2 hair, while his normal version's SS2 is just SS1's hair:

GDM3's new characters
Time Kaioshin
Trunks: Xeno (Super Saiyan)
Bardock: Xeno (Base)
Bardock: Xeno (Super Saiyan)
Bardock: Xeno (Super Saiyan 2)
Bardock: Xeno (Super Saiyan 3)
Beerus (Angered)
General Bōn [ボーン将軍 ...maybe it's "Bone"?]
Saiakkuman [サイアックマン}
Mira (Runaway)
Super Mira
Still no signs of anyone playing against the Majin Time Breaker characters.

Huh, with General Bon receiving a card and all, there may be hope for the likes of Naraka and who knows who else! The card charts are pretty much up to date, except for the new characters who haven't got any cards, it will be updated accordingly when we get more information.

It's Beerus...when he's angry. (The game model has that purple aura tint to him.)

Re: "Dragon Ball Heroes" On-Going Discussion Thread
Well, that's a pointless transformation. Kinda like Dabra's "Demonic Will" and other silly stuff like that. I guess I'll account for it too...

Beerus is just like the Hulk; you won't like him when he's angry.

Re: "Dragon Ball Heroes" On-Going Discussion Thread
Am I the only one who noticed that Time Kaioshin's ears are too big in the artwork?
Also something I've been wondering about Beat's hairstyle: is it always shown bent to the right like that or does it vary from time to time?

While I'm not really a fan of the whole DB Heroes thing, I do absolutely love the God Mission theme song.
And that Beerus vs Goku fight in the animated opening for God Mission 3 was awesome.

I'm going to sound like a complete newb here, but I am really confused by DB Heroes. I've been seeing these 1 minute or so animations for several years now showing off whatever is new in the game and I don't understand.... are these things commercials? Are they intro videos that they change all the time when the game gets something new and it's viewed on the arcade machine itself? What is the purpose of the animated bits? Is there an actual storyline with voice acting?JulieYBM wrote:The God Mission 3 promotional video sure does have some identity issues. It promotes both Super and XenoVerse.

Correct!bleed0range wrote:Are they intro videos that they change all the time when the game gets something new and it's viewed on the arcade machine itself?
Nope. Nothing like that. Just the animated sequences which act as a sort of "opening theme" to the latest update/expansion.bleed0range wrote:Is there an actual storyline with voice acting?
With each new update (Evils Dragons 1, 2, 3... God Mission 1, 2, 3... etc.) there are generally three types of videos they release:
- a "Special Movie" (usually around a minute long, which is the "opening theme" sort of video)
- a 15-second commercial which uses animation from the above video and shows off some of the new cards
- a longer "How to Play" video which goes into more depth about the new cards, characters, moves, etc. and shows actual gameplay in addition to some art and animation
