Are we sure we're talking about the same series? This is the only series where a haircut IS relevant for all transformations.

No, it isn't. Gohan could have long, short, spiky hair or even be bald and he still would be able to transform into SSJ or Ultimate. The haircut is irrelevant. So much so that his haircut was changed in RoF and he still was able to transform.

You didn't get the point but I don't care to explain either way, this conversation is pointless since all will be cleared up in a few weeks anyway.

Nah. Goku would probably be overconfident and get Pan accidentally killed because he wouldn't do what the villain says, allowing Gohan to temporarily lose his shit over Goku being such a useless dad only to apologize later.

^ Why doesn't everybody know this? It"s marketing. It's the same reason why everyone's SSJ on the Battle of Gods poster. It's not supposed to make sense, it's supposed to look cool.

We could just start after ROF but we're just losing time.

They just had to do a quick recap of what happened, to make sure that the people that didn't watch the movies have a idea of what happened so far.
Like Kai did with DB and like BOG director's cut did too. There's no reason to "waste" episodes/chapters like this.

The only thing worth to chance is erase the stupid "super saiyan god super saiyan" name from existance and just call it ssj god. While the red form starts to be called just saiyan god.

I disagree. Starting after RF would be completely predictable and wouldn't allow to develop the gaps between the two movies and give them more depth like they apparently want to do. We're already losing time with Super in itself because EoZ exists so who cares if it's gonna retell the movies or not, at least you get an alternate version of a pre-existing product you may like even more.

Since when has being predictable bad? It's actually very predictable that we're stuck in this 10 year gap. But now we're going further in time . Least we get Goten and Goku interactions. But wow it seems like we're stuck in between 2008 OVA and RF period. I can admit I didn't expect them to retell retelling BoG(probably won't change my feeling for it) but besidesd filling in gaps. Is it needed? Kinda seem like filler to me.

Sometimes all it takes is a simple answer like this.

I did watch RoF. They got to fight henchmen, but most fans only care about Goku's hair getting recolored and Vegeta's three minutes of glory. They got to shine only because Goku, Vegeta, Boo, Trunks, Goten and No.18 weren't there and added a rusty Gohan just for the sake of having a SSJ there.
Why can't Piccolo be on that cover too? Because he's not a Saiyan. That's it. He got to fight in RoF only to be knocked out and saved by Gohan. He's been neglected since the Boo arc.

And Piccolo was being neglected since the Boo arc until ROF happened. After all these years, he finally took his cape off again and joined the battlefield. The last time Piccolo beat someone in the movies was in Meta-Coola movie and there was a lot of movies after that one...
Roshi, Krillin and Tenshinhan on the frontlines kicking ass too?! Toriyama just pulled a miracle with that too.

Suppose some ridiculously powerful enemy appeared in Super. If that enemy is accompanied by henchmen, then it's for Piccolo to take them out. Then he'll get knocked out by said villain because they need him/her to be God level to make it intense. HFIL, forget what I said about the Saiyans being the only relevant ones...only Goku and Vegeta are. ಠ_ಠ
