I dont think GD has anything to do with this form, its probably not even a form for all we know, it could be a technique that just turns his eyes gray and makes his hair slit up, but I wouldnt be bothered that much if it does end up with him absorbing GD, its not like Goku cant use GD over and over if he wants to.

Yeah the initial VJUMP tease said a certain transformation appears, and Toei tweeted a few days ago "a new Goku will arise" and furthermore the FES Stage figure line said they will produce a figure for Goku's "new future form".

The loser of the fight is going to really pissed, not because they lost but because they don't get to give Vegeta his latest beatdown in episode 112.

That does look amazing. I wish they would've let Goku and Vegeta keep their RF outfits.

Does anyone know why they didn't ? was it ever said ?

It isn't known why they got dropped as far as I know.

My guess is someone high up is blinded by "nostalgia".

I wish they'd have new outfits. Help give Super its own identity.

You may not like the style, but calling it horrendous is taking it way too far. The drawings are very good, and the shading is too. I personally love that style, it looks much more "real". The second picture really gives me martial arts vibes, it's a pleasure to look at it. I wished the FT arc looked like that because that style conveys the dark atmosphere of the arc.

Nope never stated. The theory is they reverted back for Vegetto and now just stuck with it.

Compared to the current crop of garbage we are getting these are godly. Characters actually look like themselves and drawn nicely and these pieces have some actual atmosphere to them.

Toriyama's not free from criticism. There's no way to know if changing the outfits back was his idea or not, but if it was my charge would only change to Toriyama's being lazy/uncreative rather than someone at Shueisha is nostalgia blind.

It wouldn't even need to be the RoF outfits; as long as it's something new. Even Z changed character outfits every arc!

In fact, in the script of Resurrection ‘F’ written by Toriyama he drew the outfits and then noted that Toei didn’t have to use them. So he wasn’t that fond of them when he made them.

Also, only a few characters in Z changed outfits. Goku kept the same gi until EOZ. Only the symbol changed before no symbol in the Android and Buu Saga. Piccolo has the same outfit since forever and Gohan wore Piccolo’s outfit until his teen years. Krillin didn’t changed outfits until the Buu Saga. In the Android Saga he just put an undershirt on like Goku.

The point I was trying to make while Vegeta may have changed armors, Goku’s gi doesn’t change outside of the symbol until EOZ. So Goku’s gi didn’t really change in every saga. The Buu Saga was when several characters finally changed their outfits.

The RoF outfits are ok, but I don't miss them at all. I do wish Vegeta would use his Boo Saga outfit more and that Goku would use his EoZ gi more.
