I hear ssjg Goku's "Limit Break Kamehameha" is in BOZ too; anyone know if it looks like the Zenkai Battle Royale one? (In ZBR it's pink with black and white highlights).
On hiatus.

you have to choose before the match start. At first, that idea bothered me, but the reason they did this way it's simple: there are 4 roles, and some characters don't have transformations (like Krillin) so they would be stuck with one form, while for example freezer and gohan would have various transformations (and so, different roles) and wouldn't be fair for characters with no-transformations. Also, every single character is different from others, unlike previous game where they played the same way (yeah even guldo and gogeta), but here they have different roles and techniques, it's like a moba game :)

He does have a Limit Break Kamehameha as his Special. I can only assume it's the same as the one in Zenkai Battle Royale (and Ultimate Mission?)

After he got a strike to his account, he took down all the videos that had some copywritten material (music, short clips of shows or movies, etc.). Although I don't remember that one being one of them. However, seems others did the same.

The video I linked above has all the character types and attacks.

That is the case. Even in the roster on the japanese website, you can see that different forms of some characters do have different roles. Like Cell Saga Gohan being a Support Type, Super Saiyan Gohan a Melee/Support and Super Saiyan 2 Gohan being pure Melee.

Super Saiyan Bardock's only available at Gamestop/EBGames while Super Vegito's at Best Buy (USA) and Future Shop (Canada).

Bardock's shown at Gamestop and Vegito at FS, but I didn't see Vegito on Best Buy's website yet.

If I were purchasing the game, I'd go out of my way to import it from the UK. GAME is bundling SS Bardock and SS Vegetto together, in addition to the SS Sage Goku that comes with first printings.

Although, they do point out that that's a "UK only" offer. You'd need to have it sent to someone in the UK to, in turn, send to you. And you'd have to create a UK PSN account (or Live) to use the codes and (as I found out with a Japanese Raging Blast 1 trying to use the European DLC) use the content within the game itself. A hassle for no reason, in case you actually considered it for half a second.

I'm not, really. Still, only finding someone to proxy the transaction would be any sort of issue. I have multiple PSN accounts already for demos and stuff.

If you talking about combo wise, then they do. Goku, Trunks(from what I've seen), and(probably) Nappa have more than one combo and Ki based fighters like Vegeta and Raditz(from what I've seen with them two), they prefer long range ki blasts and have short melee combo that lasts 4-6 hits. So yeah this game has some unique stuff in the fighting styles.

Man, now thinking about it, if they could've just ignore about the "character whores" out there and just put in the major characters, along with Bills, Whis, and a couple of other special people, they could've had more time worked more on the battle system, putting more combos and shit, and possibly transformations. Look at Zenkai and J-Stars. They may have a small roster but has some good looking gameplay, though this game has stylish stuff too like how they did Piccolo. Can't wait to see more!

To this day, I STILL don't know why those developers count transformations as slots. I honestly think that BoZ's roster should've been from 35-40 characters. Remember people, nowadays it's quality>quantity.

While I like this game and may eventually get it, I just don't think I can fork over anything over $30 for it.

But that still doesn't mean no characters play the same.

I wanted to import the EU version of the VITA game since it's seeing a physical release over there but since I won't have access to the DLC characters (I really want that SSJ Bardock) then i'll probably just buy the American PS3 version of the game. I hate digital releases (unless they're under $10).

You could have access to it by making a UK PSN account although the DLC would be locked to that account only so every time you'd want to play BoZ w/DLC you'd have to swap.

don't buy it for vita, otherwise you would play online ONLY with other vita players, fewer than ps3 owners

Yeah I really don't want to swap and stuff, here's hoping J-Stars Victory Vs doesn't have DLC since i'm getting that game for the VITA. If it does then I may aswell import the PS3 version instead (I prefer games on the go).

i dunno about j-stars, but right now boz is NOT crossplay (and probably will never be), so I don't suggest anyone to buy vita version, considering it's almost entirely an online based game. Same for j-stars, if it doesn't have crossplay.

In terms of replayability against other players Drev's spot on, but if you enjoy playing versus bots it makes no difference then.

There's the advantage of better video quality, I'm curious to see the OP with its original song (I guess it's Flow's version of CHA LA) and whichever additional animated cut-scene there is on Battle of Z.

I'm not going to buy this but if I were (when it drops down to £10-15) then it'll be for Xbox 360 just for the sake of consistency.
