it could just be a error in the artwork.

It would have to be one of the most ridiculous mistakes of all time if that were indeed the case. I mean, struggling with numeracy is one thing - but in professional design? No way. If it was maybe an incorrect colour, or even a badly drawn bodily feature, but putting 9 Stars in a Dragonball with some sort of visual symmetry really can't be anything other than intended.

They look skinny enough in their base forms, thanks to Toriyama's current art style. Looking at SSGSS Vegeta is really painful.

If the rewriting is true, then the EOZ must be erased or changed to fit. I mean, if Beerus is now awake and remembers the Super Saiyan God's name from his dreams, what would stop him to track down that Saiyans, just like he did it in the actual movie? If so, and Goku will transform just like he did it in BOG(as Pan is already conceived, and they won't call for Tarble - or they not even know him yet), then Pan must be way more older then he was in EOZ. So it can not fit. If they want to keep EOZ as is, then they should send Beerus back to sleep for 3-4 years.

Perhaps Goku and company visit Tarble's planet (maybe to get a dragon ball or something) and in the process, they run into Tarble and his wife by accident and that's where they all meet for the first time (or in Vegeta's and Tarble's case, the first time in many years). Maybe they can even fight Abo and Cado there instead of having the duo come to Earth by themselves a couple years later. This way, if the SSJG transformation happens earlier in the timeline than BOG, they can use Tarble as the 6th.

If she and Shamp really come from an alternate universe, then perhaps she'll be a tomboy. But she doesn't look so.

Trunks haircut? That's not what he has in the art on the Super website. It looks like Future Trunks in Goku's outfit to me. Or maybe it's a Saiyan from Champs universe.... I was kinda hoping there wouldn't be alternate versions of everyone, but I'll take any new Dragon Ball I can get.

I do see where you're coming from, actually. The hair does look a bit like SSJ2 Goku's.
It's too bad that AT decided that the saiyans would focus on their normal SSJ forms from now on, so we won't see SSJ2 (or 3) much or at all anymore. I'd love to see Goten and/or Trunks explore further transformations.
