Yeah, i agree, its so annoying. Hes a fanboy, we get it, but he doesnt need to use every famous scene of the original manga ever. But i dont care about this manga, so it doesnt bother me...LightBing wrote:This case in particular is fine. But here's far too many. Vegeta using the same attack Mirai Trunks used against Cell. Frost repeating the same poses as Freeza. Goku and Vegeta copying their poses from the Saiyan Arc. These are the ones I can remember from the top of my head.ParkerAL wrote:The bottom one is too close to the original, even if it's meant as an homage. The top one is sufficiently different, however, with the inclusion of Vegeta grabbing Frost by the shoulders. If the two panels weren't paired together, the first one's similarities could easily be seen as a coincidence.Spoiler:
If this one was the first or second case, I would be saying how nice of a callback it was. Instead I'm suffering from nostalgia saturation.

The manga mostly shows it as yellow, but sometimes it white or blue.TekTheNinja wrote:Xenoverse called it the Scatter Kamehameha, but I doubt that name is accurate since there's never been a yellow Kamehameha.SSJ3 Vegeta wrote:Kuririn used the same attack he used against the Saibaman

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
The Full Color manga shows most ki attacks as yellow as well.
Judging by the leaked episode titles, Super will be in filler land by the time the next chapter comes out so the manga might not be that far behind.

I don't think it's enough. Only three filler like episodes, so far, at the rhythm manga is going it's very hard to catch up. It's about 3 months behind.alakazam^ wrote:The Full Color manga shows most ki attacks as yellow as well.

Let's try and predict:
Next chapter should be Vegeta vs Cabba, maybe Vegeta vs Hit. (May)
Following that it's Goku vs Hit, part 1. (June)
Goku vs Hit, part 2 and the tournament conclusion. (July)

Not particularly referring to super fluid fight scenes, but some epic entrance or main shots. Animation is 80% just having a great art style, and 20% experience and time.JulieYBM wrote:He is not an animator so the work would be terrible.DragonHermit wrote:Toyotaro's art work is out of this world. I think they'll condense G v H in one full chapter, and Vegeta's 2 fights in another.LightBing wrote: Goku vs Hit, part 2 and the tournament conclusion. (July)
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
They might condense Vegeta's next two battles into a single chapter, but they'd also need to cover the events that happen after the Goku vs Hit battle, like summoning the dragon such, so 2 chapters seem pretty much necessary for it all.DragonHermit wrote: I think they'll condense G v H in one full chapter, and Vegeta's 2 fights in another.

You talking about Magetta? We have no idea how much he weighs. Could be a real heavy fuck.KaiserNeko wrote:Question...

Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
To be fair, unlike in the anime, I don't think the manga has established that Goku and Vegeta in standard SSJ are as strong as a SSJ God. It was only said that SSJ Blue was a new form approaching the power of gods. In the manga, Goku also only fought against Beerus in SSJ God form, no base or SSJ. The oddity only pops up if you attempt to cross reference both. Remember, back in the Buu Saga, Goku in base couldn't move at all while carrying 20 tons. Vegeta at least raised one of Mageta's legs.KaiserNeko wrote:Question...

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
If we are talking about Magetta, I just kind of assumed that bit was a throwaway gag. Even if it wasn't, I don't think we actually know how much he weighs, as dbzfan7 pointed out.

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
I haven't seen the Japanese script, so I don't know if the translation I read was correct, but in the translation that seems to be used it's claimed that he weights 1000 tons. Vegeta in SSJ was able to lift one of his legs, but was almost crushed afterwards.
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Okay, I see. I think I missed that. I'll stick with the gag thing. Even if it isn't a gag, would it be possible that Magetta's size + use of his ki would allow him to prevent being picked up?Neon Z wrote:I haven't seen the Japanese script, so I don't know if the translation I read was correct, but in the translation that seems to be used it's claimed that he weights 1000 tons. Edit: Or as Speedster put it, in a better way than I did, a resisting force.

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
No Vegeta wasn't actually able to lift Magetta's leg off the ground. Just Vegeta crushed the ground underneath himself while trying to lift him. But this anyway means nothing as Magetta was applying a resisting force.Neon Z wrote:I haven't seen the Japanese script, so I don't know if the translation I read was correct, but in the translation that seems to be used it's claimed that he weights 1000 tons. Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
How do you exactly apply a resistance force when your already on the ground, even so 1000 tons shouldnt been that much for ssj vegeta considering that base Goku during buu saga was struggling with like 40 tons and how strong would vegeta had to been to struggle with 1000 tons? 25 times stronger than base Goku? Once again Toriyama/Toyotaro must have screwed up their math somehow or didnt take in an account how weak 1000 tons should have been for Vegeta in that state.Speedster wrote:No Vegeta wasn't actually able to lift Magetta's leg off the ground. Sorry if this is sad already but did Vados sad that Frost is the most powerful warrior in their Universe? It was in chaper 9.
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Perhaps a force diagram would help explaining what is going on better but to put it simply you need to consider the distribution of forces when the object (in this case magetta's leg) is about to be lifted. Then essentially it becomes a situation where you have Vegeta's arm's muscle strength pushing upwards versus Mageta's leg muscle strength pushing downwards. Vegeta was trying to lift one leg by the way. Ah and we don't even know whether Magetta was pushing down even more by using Ki. Besides it is Dragonball physics we are talking about anyway. Real physics goes out of the window regarding energy production. And don't tell me that Goku can destroy a planet from the calories he receives from food!Protege wrote:How do you exactly apply a resistance force when your already on the ground?Speedster wrote:But this anyway means nothing as Magetta was applying a resisting force.

Same as how piccolo's full power punch can't even shake Tagoma.Protege wrote:How do you exactly apply a resistance force when your already on the ground?Speedster wrote:But this anyway means nothing as Magetta was applying a resisting force.
Unless you are saying that piccolo can't shake 100kg with a FP punch, then it doesn't mean vegeta cant lift 1000 ton
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
There's no need to mention the weight at all, if that isn't the primary reason why he can't lift him.apex_pretador wrote:Same as how piccolo's full power punch can't even shake Tagoma.Protege wrote:How do you exactly apply a resistance force when your already on the ground?Speedster wrote:But this anyway means nothing as Magetta was applying a resisting force.

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
it's manga only the anime had them lift far heavier shit including suits that was sinking through the ground.KaiserNeko wrote:Question...

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
seriously people the anime already passed scene where they didn't mention how much he weigh plus the anime is the primary canon so don't you lose your head over this outlier.
