Well, see, we wanted to make a joke for the longest time that Kuririn bought life insurance in the chance he should ever die again, after which he would then be resurrected and hence use the money for himself. It's why he makes that awful "thank god I have life insurance" joke in Season 2. The Juan Sanchez joke was merely, "What silly ass fake name could he use?" And bam!
I wonder if "Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans/Super Saiyans" will be done. If so would it be the original or remake. Mr. Popo comes down to see Goku on his soul carpet. He also startles Goku somehow by pointing at him...so Mr. Popo was always scary. Misfit minions as well as past villains galore too.
Also I think I remember an old Gozar quote for the upcoming title.

Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

An author can do whatever he wants with the characters, that's not false. But the author should also have the responsibility to make sure it fits in cohesively with the other events in the narrative he has created.

Though... if you wait till Dende's guardian Movies 7, 8 and 9 will be extremely close together... maybe that's why?
Well, Movie 6 was released in Japan before Dende even became Kami in the manga.
Abridged is now becoming a serious work of art that is much more than an internet parody. The characters are taking on lives of their own more than the originals ever did, and the depth that's coming in now is great. Maybe I just subconsciously lower the bar for fan-made webseries compared to "real" anime, I don't know, but this series has come a really long way and the quality is completely professional.

At this point, TFS is just a vehicle. I'm sure most of the cast could catapult themselves into honest VA work if they wanted to: The 40+ episodes is an ever expanding resume, they're on good terms with professionals already in the field, and they have star power with a market that buys anime.

I must say that I'd enjoy TFS dubbing the regular series in a similar style to the much-discussed Portuguese dub.
It wouldn't be abridged, and it'd still follow the normal storyline and keep serious moments and all that, but some performances would be made more comical and there would be lots, lots of puns. It's not unlike the regular DBZA, but I'd love to see it as a proper audio track in the regular series: it'd even make filler watchable

would it be out of the question to get in on that at all? I have a decent voice I can lend to a project such as this... even if it is a minor roll.

I believe he meant that, yes, but not necassarily in the vein that you may be taking it as.
From what I gathered, he was talking about what he would do if they were to do a serious - as in, not an Abridged - dub of the special. And for that, he'd likely go in a different direction than the Sabat impression that is Lanipator's, not to say that Lanipator's is bad, but just that he'd go for something a little different in a more "straight forward" dub.

Don't worry, you explained my position basically to a T.
Lani is the only person I'd get to voice Vegeta in our series, but in a legitimate dub I wouldn't use a Sabat impression, even the altered, evolved form that Lani uses now. Same with his Piccolo and Kuririn.
