32 and 33 aired.
Only edit I noticed: They removed the sound effect of Ginyu crushing the fly in his hand.

Cause that makes total sense...gmster wrote:They removed the sound effect of Ginyu crushing the fly in his hand.
Last I checked killing a fly didn't exactly "scar children for life".
Re: DragonBall Z Kai - TV Network Version (CW4Kids\Toonzai)
It's a BS&P thing. They wouldn't let a character on Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's step on a cockroach either.
Oh, and the original Kai score was still there.

I dunno if anyone mentioned it, but on Toonzai's newest episode (Freeza Closes In, Grant Our Wish Porunga), they are using the Kikuchiki score. So FUNi knows.
EDIT: Someone already did. Nevermind, I just woke up and saw it like 7 minutes ago and I'm on my phone. :p

I think Tom Dubois of "The Boondocks" said it best for me when FUNimation announced the release of the domestic Dragonbox, after buying all of the Season Sets: "MOTHERFUCK!!! SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT, PRICKS, SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIIIIIIIT!"

Watching it on Toonzai right now, and I think it sounds awesome with the Kikuchi score!
It acutally gave me a reason to watch Kai on Toonzai which I've never done before.

What was it, 34 and 35 that aired? Let's see, let's see...
Yup. The score was replaced.
Extra white flashes added while Vegeta was beating on Ginyu in Goku's body
Added moaning to the dead guys on Freeza's ship
Freeza punching Nail in the face is removed, only the impact flash and Nail falling back is kept.
The return of the glowing dots and Blue Popo, who looks wacky as ever.

So, the Yamamoto incident has affected the English dub.
FUNimation may be doing this to give us hints that the DVDs will be recalled and the English dub will do the same as the Japanese version is, and will resort to use the Kikuchi score.

Instead of calling it "the beating of his life", the Grand Elder now states that Nail had to endure "the fight of his life".

Episode 37 just aired, and Only A Chilling Elegy was kept intact.

Yeah, At least we might get the insert songs...
Hiei: "So tell me - what's it like living in a constant haze of Stupidity?"
Hiei: "I know as much about games as I do puppies and huggs....Wake me up for the end of world"
Welcome to Super Vegeta's Big Bang Attack.... Welcome to Oblivion!!!

Man, they really need to lighten up on the amount of music they use. There's hardly any silence or breaks to give the scenes some breathing room.
On the bright side, its really cool to hear the Kikuchi music in such high quality and on TV to boot.

I think so. Also I noticed that they started the song earlier than Nicktoons did, so the whole song as it was supposed to be in the uncut version was there. At least I think it was.TheMajinRedComet wrote:Yeah, At least we might get the insert songs...

Wait a second, the Kikuchi version of Kai #37 opens with the unreleased Piccolo theme used in the Saiyan arc! O.o

Which means that they do, in fact, have access to the unreleased BGM, right? Did Toei digitize the unreleased themes?JulieYBM wrote:Wait a second, the Kikuchi version of Kai #37 opens with the unreleased Piccolo theme used in the Saiyan arc! O.o

Re: DragonBall Z Kai - TV Network Version (CW4Kids\Toonzai)
Unless I'm mistaken, that is. Maybe the piece was released elsewhere? I don't remember it being on the five-disc set, at least.
Re: DragonBall Z Kai - TV Network Version (CW4Kids\Toonzai)
Only A Chilling Elegy was a pleasure to hear as always. Still have my fingers crossed for Saiyan Blood.
As for edits, I call extra white flash shenanigans. Maybe it was that way on Nicktoons, maybe not. I don't really pay attention much anymore.

Can you tell me exactly what it is? There is no unreleased Piccolo theme composed for early episodes of DBZ, so that must be a piece from the original Dragon Ball.JulieYBM wrote:Wait a second, the Kikuchi version of Kai #37 opens with the unreleased Piccolo theme used in the Saiyan arc! O.o

It's released. It's Piccolo's bell theme from early DBZ.kei17 wrote:Can you tell me exactly what it is? It was the piece used when Piccolo faces off with Raditz, although it seems it was released after all. Whoops. >_<kei17 wrote:Can you tell me exactly what it is?
