Yeah, but in the way that you simply play media player on background. But I really want something that's in Japanese games even on PSP, like in Gundam Assault Survive, where I can add mp3's of whatever music you want to and then select it normally in game mixed in menu of other BGM to play, or it selects the songs randomly trough stages from standard BGM as well as yours.

You can download the JP BGM ripped from the game, add it to your HDD and it plays the same like JP version with Kikuchi or whatever there will be.
Really don't understand why they didn't put in this option before.

Although this is true, I was listening to Dragon Ball Z For Kinect soundtrack (kind of the best tracks of UT) and I really enjoyed it but after a while I couldn't help noticing that they were all pretty much the same in different ways. Still great songs! :)

On PS3 it has to do with the developer's decision, whether they allow it or not.
MCDaveG wrote:Really don't understand why they didn't put in this option before.
Again, developers decision.

I was disappointed that PS3 did not permit me to listen to the music I want on whichever game and unable to install all games on the HDD. Fingers crossed they do it right on PlayStation 4 (basically take Xbox features and implement on PS4).

They listened to the fans' opinion for Ultimate Tenkaichi, look how that ended up.

Listening to the fans is never a good idea because we're all different. They should be the ones to come up with the game not the fans.
Namco Bandai just asked the fans what DBZ Project Age 2011 should be called. That's not really asking the fans what gameplay mechanics should be in UT.

They've been doing a crappy job these past few games trying to come up with ideas by themselves. I say for once: let the fans speak. Maybe a different result will occur this time around.

They showed videos of the fans playing Ultimate Tenkaichi months before the game was out, and those fans enjoyed it so Namco Bandai assumed the rest would do too. It's really never good listening to fans, one can like it while the other may hate it.

2012 was a year with no new Dragon Ball game(s), only re-releases (For Kinect & Budokai HD), so they could've done the same in 2011 if they'd thought it right.

More time = better game but not always... Duke Nukem Forever, Aliens Colonial Marines, oh god..

Are you excited for this years game?
No need for apologies mate, it was probably my fault plus it's like, what, four years ago? Been a very long time!
Yeah I'm really excited, I lost my excitement for UT and ended getting it only a few months ago (when it was £15) so I'm ready to see something good and preorder it and play it on release just like I did with every game Post-Budokai 2 :D

How about you, are you looking forward to the game or any specific aspects of it?

Why would they want a sequel to Paper-rock-scissors-cutscenes? Odd.

There use to be this guy on the gamefaqs board that said UT took the most s kill of any dbz game and reduced ki attack spam.

I actually wouldn't be opposed to that. UT was one of those games that had great potential but just missed the point where it was acceptable in all cases. A sequel might be able to put it over acceptable and bring it to greatness.

Ultimate Tenkaichi was really the best Dragon Ball game on this generation, so I guess it makes sense to want a second one.
If they avoid putting QTEs this time to minimize fans backlash, it's got potential. If that was the case, having done the main story in the first episode, they would probably reverse the role: have a massive story mode for custom characters and a mini-story mode retracing the events of Battle of Gods.

But I think that, despite the fact that it could be the continuation of Ultimate Tenkaichi's ideas when it comes to content (custom characters with a new story about conquering the world), it won't be named Ultimate Tenkaichi 2.

On another note, I don't want ultimate attacks to be able to be simply side-stepped, they need to be a big deal, something automated you can't possibly avoid that has your stress meter bumping up when you see your opponent unleashing it on you, but also your eyes going "wow" at the show that's on your screen. Something huge is happening, it's exciting and frightening! With Burst Limit, Raging Blast and Raging Blast 2, I didn't feel that anymore.
Budokai 3 had it right for the ultimate attacks: there were those impressive automated scenes and that high-tension, fast-paced gauge battle between the attacker and the victim, with the attacker putting all of his focus on inflicting maximum damage while the victim was putting all of his focus on diving the damage by two (which is a pretty big deal). It was both a visual show and the high-tension moment it's supposed to be for both fighters, with the expression on their faces becoming fierce and all their strength and attention being directing at that very short but decisive battle of focus and reflexes between them.

I wholeheartedly agree with this. Just look at SSJ4 Gogeta's ultimate for example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMUkjcI1s3M
The entire sequence is full of adrenalin, with the screen shaking effect when he charges the Big Bang Kamehameha and before this showing off how incredibly fast he is be teleporting behind the enemy. Also the metal sound when someone tries to hit him makes it that much more compelling, as if one just can't harm him.

That's just an example. Broly's Meteor is also heavily cinematic and features all his energy charging sounds like in the anime. That's how it should look like.

@Knook.

Cool. I just want a good game. I didn't get UT or the hd collection.

@InfVegito I liked the b3 ultimates but I think what should be taken from them is the high tension stakes and even using the struggle bar for certain attacks and not all of them. I think the best route to go with super and ultimate attacks is too include various types of them and not all cutscenes or struggle bars. I would like to see real time, grabs, input command, and a struggle bar. But it should be specific to the super and ultimate attack used. My biggest suggestion for Rush attacks and the ultimate attacks is to mix them up and make them as interactive as possible. Just watching cutscene does absolutely nothing for me as a player. It's boring.

Aye yes that's true. I was just comparing B3's ultimate with the ones in the Tenkaichi or RB games. Giving players more control would be better.

It makes all the difference. The older naruto games did a good job with that. I loved the varied mini games and struggles.

I think the best way to go about this is to be cautiously excited? If even excited? I'll wait for reviews, be skeptical yada yada and then I'll see.
I know I might seem harsh but that initial reaction of just saying 'thanks for the likes but wait for even though we promised you info at 100k' really gives a negative impression.

It's going to be dragon ball cycle all over again. Spike yet again being the developer, rinse and repeat till death.

P.S. Anyone mind explaining the division in Bandai? On one end we get the terrible DB games and on the other we get Tekken, Soul Calibur. I'm always puzzled as to why the db games are so horrendous (I'm looking at you Kinect. DBUT, RB series).

The problem is that fans keep on asking for the same non-existent games which are: Raging Blast 3, Ultimate Tenkaichi 2, Burst Limit 2, Budokai 4, Budokai Tenkaichi 4. Of all that could have more chances of happening would be BL2, B4 & BT4 because of the sales of its previous games.

I wish Namco Bandai would hire Dimps to develop a Dragon Ball fighting game in Street Fighter's style, or another crossover, Street Fighter X Dragon Ball. SFxT is a ton of fun to play and very addicting, the graphics look fantastic.

Ryu & Ken both have their Hadukens (fire balls) and Goku & Gohan (plus others) Kamehame-Ha so a battle between the two would be sweet, of course Goku would most likely crush Ryu completely. :P

I've always had a problem with Dragon Ball characters ending up in games where they would just slaughter the competition. Last I checked Ryu has nothing on Goku. I dread the day they do a Naruto Dragon Ball crossover.
