Gosh, would could POSSIBLY keep the story going for that long
The last episode of the year would be episode 121 so I don't see why it won't go into next year since the next 4 episodes up to episode 115 is going to be focused on Universe 6 Saiyans.

It's taken 14 episodes to get halfway through the tournament. I wouldn't be surprised if it goes for another 14 episodes. This whole arc is paced like DBZ arcs, and I don't mind it at all because there's been action every episode. Though we have had some ups and downs.

My opinion of it as well. If that's the case, I could see this tournament ending around episode 133. Wasn't there like a box set that ended around the 133 episode mark too coincidentally? This is a Z length Saga. No wonder they made a brand new opening specifically for this saga, it's going to be long as hell. We're already nearing 40 episodes of this saga.

I want this arc to go a into next year, if only because that would mean Yuya Takahashi could be the animation supervisor on the climax episode.
From an actual story and pacing stand point I'm ready for this to be over, but my desire for a Takahashi supervised climax is too strong.

I honestly disagree with those who think this arc will go past December into the new year. I think to the end of the year makes sense but I doubt it will go longer than that. Keep in mind they are already advertising that we are at the climax of this arc.

I think this arc will end before the New Year and then there will probably be a short break and then a new arc. Well maybe a filler arc first and then a new arc.

It's not "coincidentally". Back when the Trunks arc was midway, there was news of box sets going until episode 72 or something, yet the Trunks arc ended on episode 67. So it could end earlier or later than 133, the box episodes don't mean anything.

Decori the Universe 4 fighter used an attack that mentioned the numbers 76 and 129. Episode 76 was the last episode before this arc started and maybe 129 is the first episode after this arc. If the second half is the same length as the first then there is 15 episodes left and that would be episode 126 and then we could have 1 episode focosued on Frieza and 1 on the wish which would be up to episode 128 before the inbetween episodes start at episode 129.

If I remember correctly those sets were announced before the FT arc started airing, also the set that ended on 72 did at least have the final episode of the arc, so there could be something to it, it just wouldn't mean that 133 is the end, just that that set could potentially contain the final episode of arc, really there is no way to tell though.
I mean using that logic though the arc could end as early as episode 121, the first episode of that set, and honestly I think most expect the arc to end around 121 or a bit later anyways.
I think 122 or 123 would be optimal, if only because that would mean Yuya Takahashi could supervise it with 9-10 weeks, which would be great.

That preview seems like it should have said second half as that is what happening right now.

Stuff is actually happening in these episodes though, it is not like Goku vs Jiren are staring at each other for 20 mins while only landing a few blows! Unless you mean in the sense of a long arc? Anyway the ToP is paced fine imo, it just feels like yesterday we started the thing and people complaining about the re-used animation

The tournament started in freaking July to end in the next year? That can't be possible! They would totally ruin the arc dragging out for so long! 48 minutes = 6 months? That's way above the 5 minutes in Namek.

Never implied it would ruin it, just thinking about it going on into the next year I don't know what they can't cover in December to at least January

Gohans so called ultimate transformation he mentioned in the recruitment arc
Cicada focus
Brianne possible powerup
Saiyan Kids(if they will survive or get to manage being in the Final 10-15)
U3 Ultimate Fighting in a Gundam-like fighter.
More Freeza shenanigans.
Goku facing Toppo 1 more time before heading for a rematch vs Jiren..

It has been 1 episode since the special but I do think it is going to get more exciting.

What about the new 'super warrior'?

Current Universe 7 and 11 is my final 10.

Five minutes on Namek equated to twelve episodes. Trust me. This is not Namek-esque at all

This is 12 episodes for twenty-four minutes or so. The pacing is nearly five times faster

You really think they'll have Goku VS Toppo II?

Super Warrior might job to Caulifla and Kale in episode 115(if thats the episode Toshio said on twitter).

Goku needs some momentum before battling Jiren again, and episode 113 spoilers said that he will slowly recover his stamina vs the saiyan girls and maybe controlling UI form?

It is supposed to be the 'ultimate Saiyan showdown' in episode 115.

The 'super warrior' better not be anything to do with the Robots, Kale or Caulifla as I don't find that exciting. The Robots should join together but that shouldn't be the new 'super warrior'.
