Not sure if it is still going on but I figured it was super related content. It would only make sense as that's the only thing that's really worth being hyped about which mean Hit will be playable as well. Surprised they didn't go with Champa and Vados first though.

I gotta say I'm not really excited for any of the U6 gang. I doubt someone like Frost is going to blow me out of the water and make me want to pick him over the likes of Cooler or even Freeza. Cabba himself hasn't done anything noteworthy either. SSJ & Galick Gun are the only things I remember him doing... Dimps has their work cut out for them to make him a character I would want to play. Same goes for the rest of the U6 cast like the bear & big robot who's names I forgot because well... They're forgettable characters..

Just saw Bandai Namco posting about the Universe 6 duo coming to the game, and I noticed that they seem to be going with 'Kyabe' for what I've always been spelling as Cabba. I thought for sure that or something closer to that would be what they would go with in English here, looks like I was wrong.

Cabba is one of those moderately unfortunate names where the appropriate English pun adaptation spelling kinda doesn't match the pronunciation of the actual name in Japanese very well. So I understand why they went with Kyabe, but I still don't like it when we have Cabba.

Mr Satans voice actor (sorry forgot the name) knows the basics about the show but he just mentioned beet farming with Goku and giving him prize money. There's some more confirmation for the Funi dub no doubt.

Just saw that Cabba and Frost are going to be in Xenoverse 2. Nice to know that the actual new characters are of course going to be apart of paid DLC rather than just being in the game because of greed.

Seriously dude? They've been very clear that they had already finalized the plan for the game before Super even began airing, let alone the Champa arc. They rushed to get Goku Black and Trunks in as bonuses and even Goku Black looks to be a half clone. Games don't get an infinite budget and this game has had a relatively short dev cycle and is still adding TONS of new content.

That'd be Chris Rager, and interesting catch. It doesn't outright confirm anything, but it definitely adds to the growing pile of hints that we've got going on right now.

I'm as anti-DLC as the next guy (I sincerely miss when everything you wanted/needed in a game was either already in the game and you just had to unlock it or at worst use a cheat code, or you just had to wait/hope for a sequel to add them in), but I wouldn't really call it greed either. These are incredibly new characters that we haven't even had in a console game before, and the show they're from hasn't even made it stateside yet. I can easily see why they'd be held back for the first wave of stuff to come after the game's initial release.

Sometimes you've got to chalk things up to being how they are and either be happy about it or don't, rather than moaning about companies doing what companies do, make money.

Nope, I'm getting just the basic Day One edition as well. Don't really care about the physical extras (though I would like the manga thing, I admit), I just want to be sure to get Goku Black. I'm a stickler for trying to get all available characters in things.

So is there any indication of exactly how many more than 8 character slots there are? Like 10, or 12, or what?

You may not be alone. I got the deluxe edition but I may change to the regular version because so far if they only have 4 dlc packs and it's going to have 2 in the first and not really a big two It doesn't seem all that interesting.

I don't buy it. For one if they knew a new show was about to be made then the smartest option would be for them to have pushed the game back for several months so the game could have actually have some new characters.

Xenoverse isn't even two years old. There was no need to make this game so soon especially when this one has been so rushed that half of it is just recycled from the last game anyway.
