That has nothing to do with water, That is even in the anime. Look at Goku when he transforms. They piece by piece break the aura covering him like a shell and make him visible. That is supposed to be exactly the same thing here. The "broken aura shell".

Yeah, it's the same but in the manga it doesn't go away and looks really weird.

I guess with this people will stop saying that it was Toei's idea to make Goku fight in his base form at first to make him look better than Vegeta. Just like how Piccolo losing to Frost to make Vegeta look good was all Toei's idea until the manga chapter came out. This site really has a 'when in doubt, blame Toei', when something happens that they don't like.

On the manga chapter, I would say that fight between Cabba and Vegeta was a little better than the anime, but I personally enjoyed the character interaction more in the anime. You really felt Vegeta's character development. Then again, the Cabba vs. Vegeta fight wasn't my favorite, although everyone here seems to love it. I also agree that the Hit stuff was done better in the anime.

Goku barely took a backseat in the Buu saga, at best he took a leisurely stroll round back while everyone else cried for him to come back.

Interesting chapter, lol. I loved how SSB Vegeta's aura looked. Can't wait to see SSB + KK Goku! :D
And not to mention, Vegeta's pose in SSB when facing Hit looked pretty awesome too...

Looks like Base Goku vs Hit wasn't Toei's idea after all and I expect Kaiokenx10 to probably happen as well. :P

Anyway the chapter itself looked great art wise, Toyotaro has done a fantastic job here. Hit's fights I felt were handled better in the anime than here but Cabba vs Vegeta overall was probably better in the manga than the anime apart from the SSJ fight which I felt were both equally good in both parts.

Don't be silly, last chapter (Vegeta vs. Magetta) was pathetic if we compare to the anime, the manga was much better before, now it's just a complementary reading

Really? I thought that fight was leagues better than the animes. Playing it up for comedy instead of tension (that doesn't work when Vegeta can just one shot him with SSJB) is a lot better.
When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

Having 3 quick/joke fights in a row doesn't work either.

That was a great chapter! So far I think I enjoyed every tournament fight more in the manga than the anime. The only anime fight I really liked was Goku vs Hit. The rest weren't necessarily bad but I just felt the choreography and pacing was better in the manga.

Neither works well, as the poster above said its hard to have tension at this level of power and the below reason in that not every fan is watching Super for the lolz.

If it's true then Roshi would probably be faster than Hit.

Supersonic or speed of light? Because supersonic really isn't that fast for these characters :D

Well the Frost fights weren't really considered jokes and neither were the fights with Cabba/Hit. I see it more as Goku and Vegeta each getting a battle intended for comedy.

Yeah thats what I was thinking. But this guy that is making the manga isn't very up to date. And lifting 1000 ton ssj vegeta post whis training?

I said joke and or short fights: Piccolo vs Frost (it sucked in the manga), Vegeta vs Frost and Vegeta vs Magetta, that's 3 in a row. Anime is better.

Dude, posting links to leaked manga scans is frowned upon here. I think it's best if you remove the link, pronto.

EDIT: Had a brain fart!

Quoting them isn't much better...

Anyway, I finally got my copy of Volume 1 of the manga. I flipped through it, and it still irritates me that we skipped the Golden Freeza material.
