For me it makes the characters look uglier. Any clues?

So for example here again is an artistic choice?

Some scenes had such large black outlines that looked like eyeliner. If so then ok. Thanks for the answer

Ajay, I noticed a small error in the catalogue. The thumbnail that links to Toma's episode 41 is numbered 44 instead.

Fixed. Thank you!

Most likely.

Though it's worth noting that it's sometimes the result of a poor vector process when the douga is run through RETAS!Pro.

It was pretty common back when Super started, but not so much anymore.

Oh wow that's a great shot of Goku! I have quite a large collection of SSGSS ones but I may need to start collecting non SSGSS ones!

Oh yeah,Fukushima Toyoaki and Tomita Erisa. 'ArchedThunder' already mentioned this on page 288. Hope the series director grabs more staff for the next arc.

I don't know why but for some reason I really enjoy comparing these 2 images.

At the beginning I thought that the blue Goku was better designed but it appears that both have advantages and disadvantages

Tomita Erisa was a key animator on 72. She had worked on 9 other series before as a 2nd KA. Super is her 10 series I guess, and also the first one where she is working as a KA. Looks like she is a new comer.

As for Fukushima Toyoaki, he has worked on a wide number of series for a number of different studios as a KA and AD. He also did some ADing on some h-content, lmao

Edit : It possibly looks like both of them are freelancers. Hope they stick around.

The 2nd KA's were Korean. They work on the series from time to time. Nothing special.

Fukushima Toyoaki and Tomita Erisa are Japanese and worked as KA's on 72. Also they are freelancers most probably.

I wish Yutaka Nakamura would animate something in Super ,I guess it would closely resemble his work on One punch Man,Concreto Revolutio and Mob Psycho100,which were incredible. I know that's impossible but just imagine how cool modern Nakamura's dragon ball action would look ,smooth cinematography and movement, all those gorgeous impact frames, smears n yutapon cubes!!! I can only dream and wait patiently for the next Shida and Otsuka scene instead. :(

I always see a lot of praise for Otsooka Ken here (sorry if I misspelled his name), but his animation in Super hasn't really been that special imo. Nothing that shouts out unique and amazing the way Shida and Tate do. Has he done better stuff on other series?

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

Yeah, stacks of good stuff.

Some highlights:

He's always been good with swords. Was kinda surprised at how tame his Trunks cut was. Curse of Super, I guess.

Maybe the Universe Survival arc is when he'll finally give us some sakuga. In general his stuff on the series so far seems like it isn't trying to do too much.

Just to add a little more context to Ootsuka and episode 66, it might be worth noting that he also did some work for the show Drifters, on an episode that aired not too far off from 66. It might be at least a factor as to why his scene in 66 wasn't up to his standards.

Whoa, this guy really is pretty good. I'm hoping that he'll be able to pull off something like that for Super in the future, too

After watching Super for a year, I thought that the rushed schedule actually affect the shading and the colouring. Like in other Seasonal Animes they ususally have good shading. Sometimes the shading can filter the bad parts. But, Super shading is really terrible. I like DBH shading more, like SSB shades and aura is just so good.
Does the schedule actually affect the shading?
Because DBH shading is really good..
I'm bad at English and still learning. If there's anything wrong, please correct me. :D

Well the shading (and coloring ) is bad in Super because of some odd decisions by the cinematography department and bad character designs(Ask Ajay why its bad), it's got little to do with schedule ,but it could be a choice by the animators . The best detailed shading we get from Super is from Karasawa, while others like Tate sacrifice shading for movement.
