Overnight, season eight's price on Amazon has gone from $31.49 USD to $34.99 USD, which is higher than FUNimation's price. I can only hope the price later goes down considerably like it did for seasons one and four. I'm not going to pay more than $50 for seasons seven and eight, especially considering how uneventful and drawn-out the 'Majin Buu Saga' (not to be confused with the Buu arc in its entirety) is after Vegeta's sacrifice.

I personally think Toei will be better for its remaster. It might have a green tint, but its better than the OB were because of how saturated and still some loss of detail with grain removal. If the Blu-Rays can improve on that and be very minimal then I would be happy.

I'll be very interested to see how this compares to Kai's current remaster. If it's somehow worse than what TOEI is putting out now then...damn.

Part of me just knows it's going to as garbage as everything before it but I'd love to be able to cut together my own version of Kai with a superior remaster.
And fail University as the project consumes my life

From what I seen in the trailer I feel that season 7s picture quality might look better then Kais buu sagas picture quality.

Hey guys here is season 7s trailer and from what I can tell the picture quality looks great.

It looks quite decent then again so was the DVD version of 'Season' 7 but the cropping was unbalanced.

Here's some printscreens I took from this trailer:

Going by these shots it seems like the remastering is better than what Toei's doing right now but it's too early to tell still.

You can trick your mind into thinking that FUNimation did a better job because it looks cleaner and more colourful but the detail as shown is gone.

The color is horrible on the orange bricks, but Kai's remastering sucks too. You can see the effect of the grain removal in Kai. Look at the detail lines on the concrete in the upper left corner of the image on the orange bricks, and then in Kai. They are blurred so much that they're practically gone.

It wasn't fixed in Kai, sadly. There's also an even bigger mistake in the Kai subs than that, though. Goku stated that Kaio was brought back to life, while he clearly wasn't.

I was talking about the Blu Rays not the bricks and from what I seen in the trailer Gotens blue shirt is blue not blackened like Gokus shirt on the bricks.

In FUNi Kai, another notable error is present where Roshi states the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai took place five years after the 21st. He says this prior to the Cell Games. I don't know if this error is in other versions of Z (Kai included) as well.
