Why does wanting something bad happen to a character for development something bad now? this is a battle shonen right? thats normally how it goes, you get put down,embarrassed,humiliated,humbled etc. thats how you build up their character and show their growth, thats how people connect to those characters, I love Gohan and Goku but when they were getting their asses whooped or tortured and how they slowly stood up and fought back were some of their defining moments for me, Goku getting tortured by Piccolo shot him a new hole on his chest and stomping the hell out of it over and over, Freeza killing his best friend right in front of him, Black sadistically telling how he killed his family from another timeline, Gohan being forced to fight a battle that his father should be doing, Cell forcing it out of him while physically and mentally abusing him were some of the moments that I really connected to their characters and made me root for them more and more and made me adore how they are now. Do people expect that it always has to be fun and games in this type of genre and thinks that some beatdown,torture is bad? this isnt a seinen show, it wont get THAT dark, were people under the impression that we meant something ala Berserk level?

But if you guys dont like the idea you dont need to jump on me or anyone that wants it to happen, I just as much want to connect to them as some of you do since their gig now aint doin it for me and probably to some of the fans too(made the some painfully visible so that no one uses it as a weird leeway to change the topic or nitpick about talking for anyone, I am merely talking for myself, yes me, me alone.)

The Goku V Cauli,Kale eps hasnt even started yet and the talks are mostly all about those girls in this thread... this is like WWE Reigns/Cena level in a WWE forum when they shove them down our throats.

It's not that no one wants bad things to happen for personal growth. But a tragedy isn't the only way for a character to achieve something or for those characters to make a connection. Someones Krillin doesn't have to die for a saiyan to get Super saiyan. Espeically if the point of the whole thing wasn't to have personal growth for the character.

Either is fine, but the push back comes from those who say there is one way and one way only for things to happen.

If you're talking about those that are saying they don't like it when others say they want a character to be tortured due to their dislike of them, then I have to say, while I take most of those as jokes, I can see where they are coming from. It's a little odd seeing someone dislike a character to the point of getting to the area of "God I hate her so much, I hope we get a scene where freeza rips their head off and then uses their broken fingers to cut open the top of their skull, and then have Freeza bend those broken fingers into a workable spoon to scoop and eat the brains of that character like a frosty delicious treat."

I wouldn't call bitch and cunt misogynist words, they're just easy, go-to offensive words.

It's hard to describe how 'cunt' is worse than calling a female a bitch. All I can say is that males that used that word are looked down upon, see Abridge's take on Vegeta vs. 18 when he actually called 18 a cunt and everyone is left speechless when Vegeta said some very sexist stuff before that moment that didn't get any real notice.

Even people who didn't like Cabba didn't necessarily want him to be fed to Freeza. Toppo, also a mix character, people just want Freeza to beat him, no torture and humiliate.

Not really. Some fans were interested about Freeza being in this tournament because he's a sadistic bastard and likes to torture people. It was nice to see him punishing Jimeze and he could have done with Cabba too. I do not only expect him to torture Ribrianne, Caulifla and Kale.

While true, but this is a battle shonen, a beatdown for development goes hand in hand in this type of genre, characters that gets focus deserves some developing, there are other ways but its mostly those types that has the stronger impact especially in this genre. In a romance one its normally motivational talks which I dont think will work on Cauli, but hey it kinda worked on Kale? guess its why she's warming up on me as long as she keeps those Broly homage out and no more treating Goku like a twig.

For the most part, people didn't really enjoy seeing Freeza 'punishing' Jimeze since he didn't do anything to deserved it. I mean, some did for the savage factor, just like those who enjoyed seeing Freeza put holes in Gohan in the Resurrection 'F' Saga.

However, there is a different between enjoying something because it is brutal vs. enjoying something because you don't like a character and want them to suffer. Jimeze and Cabba didn't fill the, 'we want them to suffer' role. They were more on the 'Freeza is a bastard and we loved him for it' role.

Nope, it was happening long before that. It really started when Cali slapped Goku's hand, called the Pride Troopers sissies, and the U7 Saiyans weak in 96. The amount of people who wanted Vegeta, Freeza, and the Pride Troopers to beat the shit out of her to 'teach her lesson' among other things were far worse than 112. In fact, it's only here that Cali's attitude in 112 is seen as so offensive. Everyone else, most say it as cute or just Cali being Cali. Not sure why this forum got so up in arms.

Freeza messing with Cali and Kale could be foreshadowing, but given what is going to happened with Cali and Kale, he may be biting off more than he can chew and it will be interesting to see the fandom reaction if Freeza's sadistic nature bites him in the ass again. In fact, I have seen a mix of fans who wants Freeza to torture the females Saiyans and those who want to see Freeza torture Cali and Kale transforming and beating the shit out of Freeza. So, it goes both ways depending on who you talked too since there are fans who don't like how cocky Freeza is being.

Also, for the record, when I said all girls I don't mean just the female Saiyans, I also mean the U2 magical girls.

Frieza will just do it when they seperate which is likely to happen. I just want Frieza to torture Caulifla and Kale as seeing Frieza's face enjoying it so much will be funny. I have no problem with the way Caulifla has been speaking to people or the way she has acted. Kale is the more annoying one between the 2.

I don't care who knocks out the Universe 2 girls as Frieza doing it won't make a big impact.
