Not when Toriyama himself has categorized all the mediums. He stated that the Dragonball Z movies are in a "different dimension" from the Dragonball story. Since he was a complete audience member to them. He stated that Dragonball GT [Grand Tour] was a "side story," He stated in an interview; "The anime and Me," "Dragonball is the anime and the manga." Finally, he stated that Dragonball Super is a "complete continuation of Dragonball, seven years after the Majin Buu saga."

Dragon Ball Super is an animated sequel only and it's manga just serves to promote the main product. It has no correlations with the original manga that ended 22 years ago.
Sure Toriyama has involvement in the series, but still debatable since we have two different interpretations of the story, we know Toyotaro has free will for his own ideas and the same could be said about Toei. We also know a time ago Toriyama was dissatisfied with the series, wanting to leave and Toei had to provide him ideas for a new arc. The thing is that the original work that remains untouchable until nowadays as it's not like Toriyama decided to do DB Vol. 43 e.g

There's no way that this arc is ending in 10 episodes.

I also notice that now on Amazon it no longer says Vegeta Version on the page. Well that is disappointing if that was a mistake because that is why I originally preordered it.

I do not know Japanese, but can you tell if the '' Vegeta version '' is included just by looking at these pictures?

Sadly it’s not included I just asked someone on Twitter. So I guess whatever it was was an error. Of course this error was on everything initially advertising the single.

I just cancelled my CD because that was the main reason I preordered it.

Edit 2: Was asking others and they literally got rid of Vegeta version at the last minute. Wonder if there was some version in the works & if we will ever found out. But I am pretty disappointed.

Caulifla is the best new character this arc. <3.

Now Ultra Instinct is a thing, hopefully they can start giving SSGSS to other Saiyans obviously not now but down the line, Caulifla in SSGSS would be sooo cool. (But mostly to get rid of the disgusting yellow SS forms.).

I'm curious why the yellow forms are disgusting. o.o

I mean, it's so iconic. Is it just a personal thing, or do you have some other reasoning?

This is sure to blow up the internet for a bit, but remember when we learned Freeza would be replacing Buu and it looked like the shark jumping moment? How wrong we were.

Will this fusion be able to use Kale's Berserk form? That would actually make her pretty formidable. Potentially able to challenge Jiren even.

Wrong? We weren't wrong. It was certainly a shark jumping moment.

Yeah, well you're in the minority on that. For many, he's been the highlight of the arc.

Same with Goku Black in Future Trunks arc. That's kind of my point; Super has this uncanny ability to spin gold out of seemingly bad ideas. Making an evil version of Goku. Bringing back Freeza after fans had already gotten sick of him. Hype up an hour special about yet another new Goku form fighting a spandex-clad Give-Way sign. These have all been some of the shows best decisions. Even their female Broly, the closest they've come to actually botching one of these crazy ideas, has at least developed into a better character than the over-marketed Gary Sue she's based on.

So now when they decide to introduce a fusion of their female Broly, and another character who many think has already gotten too many powerups in such a short time, all I can do is lean back and smile. "Alright, where to next coachman?"

Just because the fanbase excepts the shark jump doesn't make it less of a shark jump. It just means it jumped the shark and ya'll cheered about it. If Fonzie jumped the shark and folks said it was the best thing to ever happen in the history of Happy Days, he still woulda jumped the shark and the show still woulda altered after it.

Maybe they've changed their mind about this '' Vegeta version '' so as not to reveal their future participation in the tournament (if that version really was something related to the tournament, then that's a possibility). Well, I can't imagine why they did it.

Or maybe a Vegeta version (if one actually existed & it wasnt a misprint) has something to do with a future arc. The first opening stayed around for awhile but changed subtly with each arc.

The colouring in DBS makes them ugly in my opinion, in Z they look fine watching Buu Kai recently drove that home to me both with and without aura looked good there but in DBS the colouring they use it looks kinda sickening.

Other instances in modern DB such as video game OPs etc I find the colours not to be so bad so it's really frustrating.

It made me realize how unflashy this new form is. I prefer it over the red version, but still.

Eye-catching then. For a show that is known for its quirky and bold aesthetic, a lackluster and muted color-palette can be a problem. It looks somewhat better with the aura, but otherwise it's just uninspired. But yes, SS has lost some of it's appeal with Toei's current color choices.

Yup, there is a noticeable difference, and the game opening looks really good, though that might be also because openings in general need to have more pizzazz than a regular episode.

Also, which opening exactly is that from? I don't play the games but I always looked up any animated material they provided.

It's the CD Single for Limit-BreakXSurvivor and comes with a DVD of the credit-less opening

Looks like I am getting it delivered on Friday and conflicted whether I'll keep it (probably based on how hard it will be to return to Japan). I do love the cover of Goku but I am not much of a CD collector.

It is "canon" cause it totally continues Toriyama's Dragonball manga that ended years ago.

Eh, just an FYI, if this is your measurement of "canon" than Toriyama also considers GT a continuation of Dragonball.. All its saying about Super is that is continues after Majin Buu, nothing about the status of GT. In fact Toriyama says this about GT:

But thanks to the excellent staff that I was having keep continuing Dragon Ball, I was able to relax and leave it to them.

So just an FYI, if Toriyama determines what's canon then it seems there's more evidence to suggest he considers both continuations and at no point says one supersedes the other. How that gets rectified in the end is a separate issue altogether.

However in the interview of DBS Manga, he say that Toyotaro make the CONTINUATION of his own Manga.
