I think that at the very least every major fight will be polished.
I'm curious where we'll see Shida and Otsuka pop up first, I don't expect the tournament to start until a few episodes into the tournament and depending on when the scripts and storyboards were finished we could see something really nice from one of them on the first action episode.
Just going by the last tournament I'd say the fighting will start around episode 80 or so.

I'm excited to see the staff listings from the next Newtype, I'm really hoping to see a single supervisor on all or most of the upcoming episodes.

Hopefully the first action episode is as you said and it does end up really nice, however, I personally am a little skeptical based on what we saw in #33. I am aware it was a nearly a year ago and the schedule has improved, I'm just worried that something like that might happen for this tournament(if it does happen hopefully it's a little more polished). I am interested in what Newtype staff listing are going to say, they've been on a role lately and I would like to see how the episode are going to be distributed.

Well the first real fight of the Future Trunks arc (episode 50) turned out pretty okay. I think 33 was just a product of the way the show was at the time, and hopefully if the 10 weeks between arcs does serve the purpose we hope then we won't have to see something like that again.
Though with it being a tournament I honestly expect a lot of fights to be like Goku VS Frost in terms of how they are animated, lots of repeating frames with a few actual moments between, but hopefully with nice art.

I really do hope your right. I also hope that the quality of #50 becomes the average for the fights in the tournament arcs. I do wish that they start using repeat frames more effectively during those type of action episodes because I feel like they were used ineffectively in the Frost fight.

Tiger Mask W has been a pretty good show so far. For the most part, I mean. Except for the PreCure series and Kyousougiga, Toei's recent cartoons have all suffered from resources being stretched too thin. Some more, some less. Those Kuroyanagi clips were nice. Such a shame he was wasted in Super #49.

I'm expecting the second OP to have some good animation, if Yamamuro isn't AD. Shida is most likely taking part in it and other Toei aces will also join in probably. I hope it doesn't end up being like the first OP.

Well, Shida is too high of an expectation. Maybe if he does the OP. It's gonna be like 120 fighters crushing into each other. Damn. Well we could predict from the OP song if the animation would fit or not (Like that kind of feeling where you get the climax in the OP of every other anime).
I'm bad at English and still learning. If there's anything wrong, please correct me. :D

Hopefully the opening looks good, I wish they had taken a break for these 2 months but,
whatever it's business. Where are they gonna find the time to make a pretty opening and
reach the standard that fans are looking for when watching a omni-versal tournament.

I wouldn't mind if these fillers look like stick figures honestly. I wish they had use this time
for some training episodes but who knows how the arc will start, maybe there will be training, I doubt it.

I honestly wouldn't mind that either, if the trade off is substantially better animation and art. These filler episodes could all look like Episode 5 for all I care.

Does anyone know the staff list for episode 73? I'm curious to see whether they outsource this one too. Also, yeah you're right, these fillers should be all yashima Kitano wanpack Tap and maybe even Tsuji . Leave the action animators alone ,I don't care if fillers look like ep5 or 24 either.

Ooh boy I don't know much about this guys animation but he did #64 which was bad so I wouldn't be surprised if 73 looked like My SF animation from 2013 https://imgur ... lery/558Zo

I think he is reeaaaally good and has been asked to supervise 64 like a week or two before the episode airs. Plus, his presumed job on 67 looks really polished.

I hope you're right ,but even if it's bad it's just filler so there's not much to lose honestly.

Anyone know when is the Black Goku arc's Blu-Ray official release?
I'm searching for the official soundtrack Desperate Assault, but I couldn't find it anywhere.
I was assuming if Yammamuro already finished the cover for it, maybe the Blu-Ray is out for sale (since the official soundtrack is in the Blu-Ray).

I know this is kinda Off-Topic, but every soundtrack that I found is completely ripped off from the episodes.

The soundtrack for this arc hasn't been released yet, to my knowledge. I don't keep up with the home releases, but I'm pretty sure I saw cover art for the beginning of the Blu-ray FT Arc not long ago.
Retired.

64 wasn't even that bad. The animation was eh, but the art was pretty good. Which would be good for a filler episode

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

I wouldn't judge his capabilities based on 64 and 67, 64 seemed to be an all around rush job and he only had 3 weeks for 67 and we don't know yet what he did on either episode. 73 should be our first taste at what to expect from him. But it's still just 7 weeks, he could potentially do a lot better in more time. There's also the staff size we have to consider, the NEP gave me a solo animation job vibe, but we'll see.

Wow thanks guys, admittedly I didn't know much about this KAs capabilities. I'm a lot more optimistic about 73 now, I hope it's fun, since this month is basically just slice of life stuff.
PS: Sometimes I feel a little guilty of not contributing much to the conversation since I have very little knowledge, but I try.
