I see no logic in having GT Goku and Trunks, without adding in the others.
Oh, where's Uub? and Dabura? Characters that are actually important!
Btw: Is it me or does the "Ruined City"-Stage shown in the Goku Black Reaveal-trailer look extremely cheap?
I don't wanna.. bash dimps, but if this stage should represent the "Future Trunks vs Goku Black"-stage, it just...doesn't look right ':D

For some reason it's just a rule for all DBZ games that the ruined city stage is just the other city stage with just a filter effect and a few holes. Though this isn't the F!Trunks Vs Black Stage, they'll probably make a new one if they have a Black Saga DLC.JimmyRustam wrote:

Dumb question to ask, but, do your stats and all the equipment and skills you unlock in the beta carry over to the final game? Or do you have to start from scratch one you play the full version of the game?

As far as I know the only thing you get is one Item (but we don't know what exactly) as a reward for participating in the beta. Other than that you start all over again.

Re: "Dragon Ball XENOVERSE 2" Official Discussion Thread
This is one of the occasions that I am rather torn on whether or not to get this game, mainly due initially to availability issues. As of the PS4, I had made the vow to never give Sony another penny ever again, just I did with Microsoft about a decade ago (I now mainly use an imac and custom made computer with more open OS like Linux). Since the PS4 was out of the question, I decided to check Steam and was disappointed to see it is only being made available for Windows. However, in a recent run of my usual computer business, I happened to get a fairly new one with Windows 10 and specs that happen to meet all the recommendations for Xenoverse 2; rather than sell it, I've been setting it up as a possible "PS4 substitute". I now sit on the Steam Xenoverse 2 page hesitant to click that order button for other reasons... The first being the fact that I can't stand the BS practice of selling an incomplete game for full retail and then wanting anywhere from half to just as much a second time to get the full experience you should've had from the start! Money is no issue, but I just feel terrible paying that extra thirty bucks (since I can't stand not having the full experience) knowing it will only be helping to promote more of that very nonsense in the future.
Here are a few things I'm wondering about that will help me decide (mainly involving whether or not my main peeves with the first game were fixed):
1. Does your character's height and/or clothing still affect stats?
I hated how in the first game you had to wear specific clothing if you wanted the most optimal stats instead of clothing just being a cosmetic thing to do with as you please.
2. Is whether or not you get skills and such you are seeking still dependent on RNG?
I utterly, absolutely, unquestionably, positively, definitively HATE RNG grinding. The fact that I would spend untold hours on a single mission getting a Z rank over and over and over and over and over again to get a specific item nearly drove me insane. Join me in a quest to pass a law that makes it illegal to have any games completion progress reliant on randomness! lol The way I prefer it is to have a goal, and get your reward when you achieve that goal. No dice rolling!
3. Does the fighting system seem to have any notable changes/improvements?
While I did enjoy the first game, I did occasionally feel certain things could be improved. No particular thing that bothered me too much in that regard, though.
4. What is most notable about the new transformations? Do they seem very well balanced?
I obviously haven't had time to observe too much, but I did notice ssj is no longer an endless ultimate spam fest. That's a good sign. The transformation that mostly bothers me from what I've seen is the majins. I guess them turning into Pure Buu makes sense in a way, but it would be nice if they kept some aspect of their appearance like maybe clothing or eyes or something. But what REALLY bugs me about that one is the fact that your literally just switching to playing as Pure Buu, moves and all! Skin color and voice are the only parts of your custom character to remain (and something about hearing some of those voices coming from Pure Buu just seems creepy... lol). Would it have been too hard to keep at least a couple of your own moves?

Incomplete? The game hasn't even released yet.Metrite wrote:The first being the fact that I can't stand the BS practice of selling an incomplete game for full retail
Height never affected stats, your clothing still has stats but there's a mechanic in place to negates that. The QQ Bang is basically where you compile stats int an item that when equipped turns off the stats on the rest of your items. Here are a few things I'm wondering about that will help me decide (mainly involving whether or not my main peeves with the first game were fixed):

From what I've seen, RNG is still a thing, it's just less shitty.2. Is whether or not you get skills and such you are seeking still dependent on RNG?

You have new fighting mechanics like the 'Step Vanish' (I think that's what everyone calls it) which makes dodging in close quarters easier... Well, if your oponent sucks. There's a mechanic that allows your character to instantly dash to their opponent, and if you have the stamina, rush behind them and slam them which is doen to rpevent people from just running away from a fight. The hit detection is improved and combos feel more effective.3. Does the fighting system seem to have any notable changes/improvements?

1. Can't say anything about height because I only created one CaC and didn't make a new one. But yes, clothing affect stats. But we get also the so called QQ Bangs. In short: it is a new equip item that overrides the clothing stats. So you get to wear what you want but also have stat improvements. How it works exactly is not known.Metrite wrote:This is one of the occasions that I am rather torn on whether or not to get this game, mainly due initially to availability issues. 2. Yes RPG is still there, but much better. First: when you fullfill the requierments for the hidden Ultimate Finish you ALWAYS get it to ONEHUNDRED PERCENT! And Skills and Items drop much more often as in XV1. So it is much better. You can get all Skills, Souls and Cloths in the beta in only a matter of one hour or two.
3. Vanishing steps can now be made almost all the time to evade attacks. Transformations are permanent except for Kaioken, Giant Namek and Pure Majin. Stamina Break does exactly what it says. Useful but if you fail you are wide open. And the enemy has full stamina again if he survives your follow up combo. You use up less Stamina for teleport combos than for teleport escapes.
4. I think Namekians are very dangerous. First: when they are near death they regenarate health. Fast and up to a certain point. They gained more than I could cause damage. And Giants are simply unfair, especially in small stages like the world tournament. You can't escape them, they do tons of damage and take no damage themselves or don't even flinch. Stamina drain is too slow and even if he shrinks back, he just has to survive long enough to regain his stamina and transform again at which point you're pretty much screwed. Either they have to flinch, take damage or the stamina drain must be fast. And just for the record: I'm not one to say something's broken that lightly.
Hope I could help.

Thank God someone brought up how broken the Namekians are in this game. They're almost as OP as the Earthling race was in Xenoverse 1. They need to get nerfed pronto, because I can see a lot people abusing that race in online matches. Especially with the damn near invincible Great Namek form they have.Xaroc wrote:I think Namekians are very dangerous. First: when they are near death they regenarate health. Well then, what about trying to run on big maps? They seem slow, you could also do ultimates at the right time or stamina break.

All the Namekians I've been fighting can't hit me for shit in that form and resort to spamming the big ki blasts but by then it's already too late for them. I use the 4x Kaioken Kamehameha and I am loving it. It's definitely going to be my go-to ult when the game comes out, especially for those big slugs.

I BODY Namekians in my experience. If the health regen is big problem, you gotta rush down on them and make sure you're putting in enough consecutive hits, reading your opponent when they're gonna snap vanish, etc.
Dragon Ball /Z/GT/Super is a children's show and there's nothing wrong with that.
Re: "Dragon Ball XENOVERSE 2" Official Discussion Thread
I see your point. But you HAVE to fight on the small tournament stage in the tournament. Otherwise I wouldn't complain.desu wrote:Well then, what about trying to run on big maps? They seem slow, you could also do ultimates at the right time or stamina break.
And not hitting you, SSJ God Gogeta? When I'm fighting them:
Namek: hit hit hit hit hit hit
Me: Escape move. 1 second recovery time.
Namek: hit hit hit hit:
Me: Escape Move. Ultimate: drains 2 bars of stamina.
Namek: STILL has 3 bars of stamina. hit hit hit hit.
Me: Dead.
About the regen: Online PQ. 3 on 3. 2 Enemies are down, Namek is left. The other 2 fight him, I'm shooting Genkidamas (Super, not Ultimate) at him and he survives and recovers. And the others hit him with everything AND connected. So mabye it is REALLY just me or you guys are just lucky. (no offense)
