1-1 Goku saves the day

10-1 Gohan use his Ultimate Potential

8-3 Gogeta happens.

7-2 Goku damages Bils on the first encounter

Also next post makes 300pgs

I want to hear a cover of the Gino Padilla version of "Cha-La Head Cha-La".
Kentai wrote:Son Gokuu is a fascinating character anyway, because he is - at face value, anyway - an idiot savant. But he's also a fighter, through and through [...] he fight until he has, in no uncertain terms, beaten his enemy on terms they can both acknowledge. He doesn't want to kill anyone, or even prove that he can win... he just wants to know he can. He's an ineffably charming bastard who's manly leanings were really incendental, and yes, the fact that he was voiced by a squeaky woman made the combination perhaps all the more charming.

Uhm...

That would be interesting. I don't think we can tell exactly the odds of something happening but I would bet on the following:

There will be Goku and Vegeta fanservice.

The movie ends with a Vegeta's one liner complaining of something.

Videl does something useful.

Birusu is the responsible for Pilaf Gang as kids.
Check out Journey's End, a short story of Goku and Vegeta's final days. "Time is running out for the last two Saiyans"

what numbers would you give it.

I give a 2-1 on Vegeta one liner at the end, 11-1 on Videl doing something useful, 1-1 On Bils making the Pilaf gang kids, and 6-1 on the fanservice (it's only low because people will always find a way)

The sheer amount of fansevice in OPZ makes me relatively hopeful that there will be fanservice with Goku and Vegeta.
I feel like I still don't know enough about the plot itself to make any bets. There's been lots of news about the movie lately, but not that much about the plot itself.

Both. :3

This is the first big dbz movie since the 10th anniversary special; why not go all out?

Between the battles showcased and that surprise hot-springs scene, Toei proved they can do it with OPZ, no reason why not with BOG.
Plus if it's got a similar running time, they've got a much bigger format than the old DB movies had room to play with. That extra time counts.

EDIT: Also! Anyone in or near Japan planning to pick up Weekly Jump 10 on Monday to find out what the BOG news within is about?

Well, if you think about it, we already had Saiyans on the shower, snake way hot-springs, healing pods, naked visions, silent and long meaningful looks at each other, bounding with Ki rings, Movie 12. Heck, the Buu saga ends with a full posterior nude of Goku. 8)

It does look like the same type of fish! So cool. :3

Re: Soulnova

This is all very true. X3
Toei's definitely got a penchant for it. I have hope there will at least be some service in BOG.

I think I already know the answer to this question, but will this movie be shot on film or digitally?
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

Digital. I don't think anyone still shoots animation on film.

Thanks, I was thinking that but I wasn't sure. around here there was a theater that still played movies on film until some rich dude bought it and made it digital. :P

Eiken is still producing Sazae-san with cels.

That show still uses cells? O_O That's some dedication, and after reading the wiki article on what Sazae-san is about, it's also kind of ironic that it's this show that has stayed with the old methods for animation.

If this is all that's in there, I'm super-disappointed. T_T
WJ 10's BOG contents are nothing more than news on non-plot-revealing merch stuff about those pen-point balls and DBH according to the above quote.

They'll eventually have to wet the whistles of those who're hungering for new information about the actual plot of the movie though, right?

Was it really this way for OPZ too, and I just don't recall it because I wasn't as hyped for that movie as I am for this one? I thought I'd followed along with OPZ's coverage pretty well too.

Look at it this way, the less they reveal, the more people they're gonna end up selling tickets to. Man, everything's changed so much. If this movie was coming out in the early '90s, we'd be getting an hour-long special that spoils half the film.

On a side note, I'm pretty sure that we're not gonna find out anything substantial about Uisu till Julian or Kei17 actually attends a screening of the film.

Something I'm curious about is how long they've spent working on this movie, because just over half a year doesn't really seem that long; although I have no idea on how long it takes to produce a typical Anime film. I wonder if it's possible that they've been working on this film since 2009.

I'm going to kindly ask kei and SaiyaJedi not to spoil the plots here after they saw the movie. I certainly don't want to know the plots until after it gets released in U.S. :shh:

Or you could not look. It's not hard to mark where spoilers are, even if there's not a spoiler tag on this board.

Even though I would love to have the plot spoiled for me, I'm sure once the movie is out someone will start an official BOG spoiler thread.
