Re: Worst Dragon Ball game
I actually enjoyed Sagas, sure the animations were repetitive but it was also a different way to play through the Cell Arc.
I actually like the Action RPG feel to it, the fighting games got boring a long time ago.
If i had to pick 1 it'd defiantly be.. Dragonball Legend of Shenlong..

Re: Worst Dragon Ball game
The graphics and gltichy gameplay were the only things that brought Sagas down for me.
Re: Worst Dragon Ball game
Not having played every game, I couldn't stand VRVS. The combat was nigh incomprehensible.
Super Saiyajin no Densetsu was pretty awesome except for all the damn level grinding, and the repetitive music.

Re: Worst Dragon Ball game
What the...? People think Legacy of Goku was hard??? Now, I'm not much of a gamer, but I knocked out LoG in a weekend-- in sixth grade. I've only played like 50 games in my whole life and only beaten 5 or 6. Am I the only one who thought it was super easy? The second one was much more difficult in comparison, I thought.

Re: Worst Dragon Ball game
Now, i personally loved sagas because i got to see a yardrat. How awesome. and i loved the first DB game, because i got to see an alien Krillin. I Can think of a reason why i loved every game (that i've played)
I'm probably the only user here who likes what ifs.
Now, what doesnt bring something new to the table?
Worst game in my opinion, either Dragon Ball Evolution, or Raging Blast

Oh, you think the Grand Tour is your ally, you merely stepped into the Grand Tour. I was born in it, moulded by it. I didn’t see the Super until I was already a man; by then, it was nothing to me but blinding!

The worst DB games are Sagas and Tenkaichi 1.
I would also say Super DBZ, but that would be asking for too much of a flame war.

When you're killed in 2 hits by a friggin' dog without a chance, yes, Legacy Of Goku is hard.TenshinFan wrote:What the...? People think Legacy of Goku was hard???
When you use the invincibility cheat, everything's so much more easier. You can get your well-deserved revenge on that bastardized, overpowered dog and then trample on his dead corpse. Ah, good times...

I actually didn't know people saw Tenkaichi 1 as a bad game. I thought it was pretty good. It's only when you compare it to the later Tenkaichis in the series that it begins to look like crap.Ultimate_DB_Fan wrote:The worst DB games are Sagas and Tenkaichi 1.

Also when it comes to LOG, the Solar Flare makes basically every fight a cakewalk once you get it.

Re: Worst Dragon Ball game
Oh, come on. LOG wasn't really hard, it was just absurd. There were ways you could defeat the foes. For example, if you leveled up at the beginning by killing a large dinosaur from a distance using only ki blasts, the dogs became a piece of cake.
But, seriously, that game was kind of an insult to DB and its fans... and still I like it and find some good things about it. Talk about weird. But hey, at least they did it right with LOG II, which is one my favourite games up to date.
Speaking of Tenkaichi 1, I just turned off my PS2 after about an hour of playing. I realised I've had the game for years now and never really gave it a chance, because I played it after playing the second part and its predecessor just seemed retarded to me.
And yes, it is some steps backwards and basically has no story mode, but after being frustrated with some fights and changed the difficulty level afterwards, I actually started having fun.
But yes, it is the worst one of the three. I liked Tenkaichi 2 the best actually.
Btw, what's VRVS?

Re: Worst Dragon Ball game
It's not so much hard as it is broken. The game has some of the worst hit detection I have ever seen.TenshinFan wrote:What the...? People think Legacy of Goku was hard??? I played BT1 before the rest, got it shortly after release. It was crap from the word go. BT3 was the first game in the series that was actually decent and it still screwed up a lot of things that Budokai got right on the first try.Piccolo Daimao wrote:I actually didn't know people saw Tenkaichi 1 as a bad game. Ooooold (1994) Japanese arcade game. The forerunner to the Sparking! games, in a way. Behind the character split screen fighting. First and only Dragonball fighting game to feature an entirely original character. Ozotto.BobZ wrote:Btw, what's VRVS?

That VRVS game looks kind of awesome!
If we had this in our arcade rooms while I was still a young dbz fanboy/student, I was probably never going to make it to university.
Edit: Lol, and that Ozotto guy looks badass! Kinda reminds me of that other bad boy from the Playdia system game "Plan To Destroy The Saiyajin".

Yeah, Ozotto looks awesome. I'm incorporating him into a few fanfics just because of how cool he looks.BobZ wrote:That VRVS game looks kind of awesome! If we had this in our arcade rooms while I was still a young dbz fanboy/student, I was probably never going to make it to university.

Re: Worst Dragon Ball game
which one? There are two invincibility cheats. its like they knew it would be hard, so they just put in a way to skip the bullshitPiccolo Daimao wrote: When you use the invincibility cheat, everyone's so much more easier. Re: Worst Dragon Ball game
I tried doing that, and the mutt followed me persistently. I couldn't get the fuck away from him (or any of the other enemies, for that matter) unless I flew. So yeah, you may think LOG is hard, but I don't, so don't give me no smarmy bullshit.TenshinFan wrote:Yeah, and maybe try dodging the dog's attacks?
I played BT1 before the rest too, as well as BT2 (for half an hour or so), and I found both of them decent. But anyway, we just have different opinions.Xyex wrote:I played BT1 before the rest, got it shortly after release. It was crap from the word go. Ultimate Battle 22 of course, what a horrible game, excellent soundtrack though.

I actually enjoyed Sagas.
Ultimate Battle 22, Final Bout and DBZ CCG are, yes, horrendous and deserve to be killed with fire, however...
Taiketsu is hands down the worst Dragon Ball games in existence. While the aforementioned titles are bad, at least they're relatively playable. Taiketsu is simply unplayable and deserves to be purged from history forever, never to be spoken of again.

Re: Worst Dragon Ball game
Of all the PS2 titles, short of starting a brand new save file, Sagas seems like it has the most replay value to it.
