As opposed to what? How's that any different then a fade out/fade in?
As opposed to a sudden blackout and immediately going to commercial. Most network shows nowadays simply flash cut to black and go right into commercial. I'm not the kind to sit through commercials; that's why I invested in a DVR.

Regardless of the fact that the show is available on DVD, I'd still like to have the viewing experience mimic the way it was originally broadcast as close as possible. I will admit, the Marathon feature on the Orange Bricks is a nice feature in that though they took out the OP (after the first ep on the disc), ED, and recap segments, they left in the two acts with the eyecatches intact.
