Nicktoons to start showing Dragon Ball Z Movies September 7!

Speaking of the Ocean dub, are they gonna put up versions of FUNi's current Dead Zone/Tree of Might/World's Strongest with new edits?

Why would they do that? They have all those movies dubbed with the FUNimation cast. And as of now it looks like they only have movie 8, 12 and 13.

I wish Nick would release their schedules for the whole month again, it would be easier to confirm if they're skipping Movie 9 or not (which I personally think they are)

Nice to see that Nicktoons is showing other parts of the Dragon Ball universe, but kids are going to find it weird that Gohan & Bulma's voices are different here than in Kai. If I was a kid I would notice it immediately and find it jarring.

Kids don't really notice these things, or if they do, they don't care all that much. Back when Toonami would run Ocean cast stuff along with FUNi's in-house dub, of course I noticed, but I didn't really care too much. I would always wonder why Vegeta sounded so vastly different but it's not like it bothered me; if anything it made it interesting to think that there was a cast before FUNimation's.

Super Saiyan 2 Transformation, Goku's Sacrifice, atleast the Buu arc movies won't be a dead give away of Cell Games Events unlike Movie 9.

This is awesome. Maybe almost as awesome as Kai being on tv.

What's not awesome is this is a weird channel that I don't get without a cable box hooked up. It's not as convenient as Cartoon Network is/was. Still, if I was a spoiled kid with a cable box in his room, I'd be all over this shit.

If they don't end up showing all the movies, that'd be lame but ok. I'm sure these will be popular though. So they could wind up showing them all at some point. Wishful thinking.

IIRC, the last time the first three were shown edited for TV, they were still using the Ocean (and in the case of the first two, Ocean/Pioneer) dub as the basis.

Not necessarily, back when I was 9 years old and Starfox Assault came out I noticed that the voices were different and I did care, I wanted British Wolf and Brooklyn Andrew etc.

Well, when was the last time they were on TV? When Toonami was around? That's what FUNimation gave Cartoon Network at the time, that was before season 3. This time around they have the option to give them the FUNimation cast dub. It wouldn't make sense to give them the ocean dub.

'New Zealand Cartoon Network' aired the movie but unfortunately I never saw it. I'm gonna guess and say they'll be using the footage from the edited singles and the footage from the 'Cartoon Network' broadcasts of DBZ movies 12 and 13.

Nope, they did, back in 2004. Toonami's aired all of the Z movies.

According to Wikipedia, they didn't air all the DBZ movies. Toonami Digital Arsenal doesn't have anything on Movie 8 (in terms of official promos or intros).

Despite having the steelbooks I'll watch them anyway just because it's DBZ movies on TV, and there will be nothing else to watch. I am glad that my favorite DBZ movies (Movies 5 & 12) are airing.

I've never actually seen any of the Broly movies (or Lord Slug and Fusion Reborn), so I'll be watching. Err... recording.
