Nah. Zenkai Battle Royale also needs to be on 360.
That's unlikely. Zenkai runs on a system similar to the PS3, hence why Bandai's arcade games often see a PSP/PS3 release. It'd be easier to make two exclusives to be honest.

Similar? The hardware of PS3 and Xbox 360 are almost the same, with a couple of differences.

The graphic card of PS3/X360 is equivalent to a GeForce 7800/7900.

It's a lot more to it than that.

^ Then it comes down to comparing and little to no difference there is between both.

The "PS3 is powerful" just isn't true, consoles before being released already have outdated hardware.

For this year I suppose it'll be the year for Kinect Dragon Ball Z, then the next for a port of Dragon Ball Z: Zenkai Battle Royale, I hope.

And for the porting side of the discussion, most game exclusives are coded differently on specific engines to maximize the specific console's potential, unless a port is intended to begin with.

This is decent...: http://www.bit-tech.net/gaming/2009/08/ ... ng-games/1

Since when did the term 'system' mean 'graphics card'?. The arcade console that Zenkai runs on is remarkably similar to the PS3 and hence why all the Gundam game ports (running on the same console) are PS3/PSP exclusives. Read the Zenkai Battle Royale thread for more information.

Both systems overall run the games almost exactly the same way.

If they don't want to release it on Xbox 360 just means they'll keep it to Japanese consoles only.

Tekken 6 runs on that same arcade board. How come Tekken 6 is on PS3, PSP, and 360?

The only reason the Gundam games are PS3 and PSP exclusive is due to the fact there isn't a market for them to be released on any other platforms. The 360 is a niche otaku driven platform in Japan, so the Gundam audience there will be no greater than 20k. You might as well convert them to PS3, and PSP users where the large majority of the fanbase is.

It is true that Xbox 360 is very popular outside of Japan, but what is not all that popular outside of Japan? Gundam. That is why they do not create 360 skus. It has no market in Japan, and no market outside of it. Tekken, and Dragon Ball games both have markets outside of Japan, therefore 360 skus make sense.
"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.

...And now it's been rated PG in Australia.

Weird thing though. They list it as "Dragon Ball Z KINECT" and then it says "Multi platform".......Does. Not. Compute....

Does compute.

Kinect on the Xbox 360 + Windows.

Though, it'd be odd for a Dragon Ball game to be released on PC's format.

Blech, hopefully they don't try to make it work for the least common denominator. Kinect lets you track your whole body. Move has more accuracy with pointing and such. Wii is just...eh...

Looks as though the game is definitely coming. How do you think it'll play? I'm trying to visualise such a game, but I'm having a lot of trouble. Maybe I should look up some other Kinect titles and watch vids.

The only thing I can seriously imagine is it bring mini-game styled. It would be hella fun though firing proper ki blasts at mutiple enemies like Saibamen. I've always wanted to throw a real Kamehameha :P

The users of Daizex always bashing is getting ridiculously childish. Kinect has fantastic games and the titles I've played all ran smoothly.

Star Wars Kinect definitely looks like it's gonna be another awesome Kinect game.

What on Earth are you talking about? There was no "bashing" going on at all. The individual stated that they do not have the appropriate experience with the Kinect to imagine how the game would be played, and even stated they would go and view videos of those types of games in order to fully understand.

You kind of have to market Kinect to the lowest common denominator, particularly since the game will be (or should be) built for the West; not enough people have one to do anything else with it, and lest we forget, DBZ has casual fans out the wazoo Stateside.

Haven't actually used Kinect myself, only watched let's plays with people taking recordings of themselves playing, like Lani and Rise of Nightmares, and I'm liking what I'm seeing enough to give it a chance, so long as our mystery developer takes time to understand what the thing can and can't do.

To the Wii's defense, Wii Motion Plus was criminally underused. If every major game since it's launch functioned like Red Steel 2 it wouldn't be a failed experiment at all.

But please, real life Kamehameha.

I don't mean target audience, I mean target system. If you try to make it multi-platform, now you can't do head, body, or leg tracking. If you make it exclusive, then you can fully utilize Kinect...or make 3 versions with the Kinect version actually taking advantage of Kinect.

Because, it does not happen. Thus, does not compute for me :P

Seriously, though, it's kinda ridiculous. Dragon Ball games already have a narrow target audience as it is, in comparison to other releases....but this is virtually going after nobody lol. They're going for Dragon Ball fans that not only have an Xbox360 BUT ALSO have a Kinect. The only way they could possibly narrow it even further was if it only covered GT

(With that said, if it comes with a dvd of Episode of Bardock, I'll buy it. Then I'll have a free game that I can give to....nobody that I know. lol)

The movie would likely be on the game's disc, ala Raging Blast 2. So if you give away the game, then you lose your movie. =P
