Favorite old rumor

I guess it's not a rumor so much as a popular fan idea (Or at least I got the impression it was a few years ago), but the idea that Uub and Namu are comparatively closely related.
I suppose it's from a combination of their similar motivations (feed/water the village), their inherent skill as humans that fight Goku, and being ethnically distinct from the main cast...
Except I get the strong impression that Uub and Namu are not ethnically similar at all, even considering Toriyama's style, and there's the little matter of their homes being in rather different places.

Hm, anime filler made Namu's personality seem more conducive to not dropping off the face of the story after Daimao. Ei, I think filler was pretty awesome during Daimao (I'd go back as far as the training for the 22nd tournament, if not for all of those redundant flashbacks during the tournament itself). It helped the Piccolo arc feel like the climax of the entire story up to that point.
... Ick, not only am I getting off topic, but imagining how Colonel Violet would fit into Daimao's reign of terror got me thinking about trying to Arkalm City that arc, which is simultaneously awesome and insanely non-dragonball...
