Wait FUni Goku!? Why just Goku..... I mean how is Funi's "Goku" so superior to.....Goku,....
Funimation's adaptation of Goku is very much in the mould of the white, traditional American hero - and as such there are differences in the portrayal that differ from how the character is depicted in the Japanese original. I think Codarik is right to draw a distinction as, whatever one's personal feelings about the localisation changes that Funimation made to the character, it should be regarded as a separate entity.

I know how Funi changed Goku(though Kid Goku was accurate) . But i don't see the need to separate them. Goku in Cell arc and Boo arc wad portrayed somewhat accurate is Eng Dub

Not really, Funi-Goku was a lot more series, assertive and mature than the Jap.Goku, where as he used a lot of if not an excessive amount of laid-back, metaphorical-talk in his conclusions to how he judged each situation.

If that's all you want, then all you want is fanservice, rather than an actual coherent story. And of course those aren't mutually exclusive; you could have a coherent story with "shine" moments! But if a story is perfectly coherent (and I'm really not seeing any compelling arguments that this one is anything but, despite constantly recurring, really poorly reasoned, attempts to argue otherwise), and you're bemoaning the lack of "shine" moments as a reason for the story's poor quality, then you're letting your thirst for "shine" moments obfuscate your ability to detect basic storytelling when it's right in front of you.

Don't say Jap that's offensive. Say Jpn. I understand the point but I still see no need to separate then. I don't say Korean(champ and Tooniverse) Goku
